Now that the black card rule has had a mixed first year at inter County level ,I just wonder will some Referee break loose and issue the black cards as per regulation/rule
I have seen many games where the Referee chickened out and issued a yellow or indeed none ta all in some game
I will wait and see what happens this year

I doubt this will improve, too many officials with their own interpretation of the rules. The rules are not applied correctly, inconsistently and we still have a few dinasaurs from the school of "letting the game flow" which really means applying no rules. The use or abuse of the Black card just shows how poor the attitude to the applications of the rules, which is all but ruining the games. The so called blanket defending would be extremely difficult to deploy as a tactic if the rules where correctly applied. But I believe Harte agree's with you:
