Galvin sees a Dubs Kerry generation coming

(Oldest Posts First)

He grew up listening to the folklore, he sees what we all see, another few years of the most storied rivalry in the GAA reborn, and he wants to be part of it!
Simples.

Come back Wheelo !!

Nothing to do with Kerry having won minor and senior All-Irelands last year then?

The ability of some to see every event through tinted glasses be they blue, green, red or yellow never ceases to amaze me.

I doubt that this decision has anything to do with Dublin but has more to do with a man missing the spotlight & going back for one more tilt at it.

Best of luck to him.

Going to be very hard for him to get back onto that kerry team. ID be more interested in seeing how and when Gooch comes back into the fold. This is a bit of a side story in terms of football, but a great one for those who are nostalgic.

Agreed.

Cork won one All-Ireland in the 70s and reached 1 semi. Tick.

Kerry won 4. 1 down - 3 to come.

Offaly won 2 - this is unlikely but they have been replaced by Donegal who have one more to come as well.

Dublin won 3 - 2 have been won. They are definitely capable of winning one more.

If we are going backwards in time then Mayo will do a two in a row in the years 2034-35 and Cork will get another won in 2040.

Happy days.

Enjoying this thread! Keep it going lads. Funny but accurate analysis there Benny! The 70's was a great decade for football indeed.

Modern Football = 70's Rugby (lateral/backward handpassing)
70's Football = Modern Rugby (Kick it up in the air and Rush and Hope)

Liam,

Too much waccy baccy around Walkinstown I fear!!

Mind you judging by what I saw from Kerry & Dublin last Sunday, the free wheeling spirit of the 70's is long gone.
