Despite not reaching the heights of 2013, the 2014 championship still had a few crackers and some are probably overlooked. Some of the league matches were fairly good too. Heres my top 5 in both hurling and football and Over all top 5. deadybai (Kilkenny) - Posts: 63 - 28/11/2014 16:33:41 1675373 Link 0 |
Clare and Wexford was a cracker, last Sundays Munster Hurling final was some feast of scores but my own favourite was Cork and Kerry in the last game to be played in the park Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5491 - 28/11/2014 18:28:10 1675395 Link 0 |

He means what he said. Kerry v Mayo semi-final. Better team won on the night. I was there. We had enough chances to win by three or four points. Hopefully Connelly and Holmes will give us more killer instinct. GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 7345 - 29/11/2014 13:32:36 1675460 Link 0 |

another honorable mention would be cork v mayo football quarter final or the limerick v tipp hurling match in semple. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 29/11/2014 16:26:34 1675473 Link 0 |

I'm a lover of hurling and the drawn final was an epic but for me the best game was Kerry - Mayo Replay. I just couldn't take my eye off it, I'll never forget the way Kerry just kept going and wouldn't accept defeat Ban (Westmeath) - Posts: 1415 - 01/12/2014 21:00:16 1675865 Link 0 |

Should have put an honourable mention to the Tipp and Limerick game too. That was a cracker! Limerick played out of their skins this year (Apart from the Munster Final) and yet came up short. Hard to see where they can improve but I think their performance against Kilkenny would result in a victory for Limerick 9 times out of 10. Roll on 2015! deadybai (Kilkenny) - Posts: 63 - 02/12/2014 12:55:56 1675944 Link 0 |
