Kerry are 14th. Seems fair enough after winning Division 2A but not being promoted. Kerry, like 2011, were not too far off a unique Maguire-Ring double. Hopefully that year is not too far away. For now, we'll winter well. Ciarraí abú!

Wexford at 5 is a bit of a push. Fair play we had a decent run this year but 5?
Reckon we are probably there or there abouts with Dublin and Waterford. Reckon Clare and Galway should still be ranked above us despite beating Clare this year. The Dubs probably would still be ahead of us on this year too.

Unlike Kilkenny in football, at least Kerry hurl away at an intermediate level.

How can Carlow and Offally be ranked ahead of Kerry??? We finished ahead of Carlow in Division 2A and it was the greatest scandal of the hurling year that we had to play Offaly in a promotion/relegation match at a neutral venue only 6 days after winning the division.

The only case in the entire league (football and hurling) of having a promotional/relegation match between a division. Kerry were not even given the choice of home venue to acknowledge their brilliant work coming out of Division 2A and not they were not even given the courtesy of having enough time to properly prepare for the game.

It really was shocking stuff and the most blatant attempt at ring fencing the 'traditional' counties in the game and to hell with counties like Kerry, Carlow, Kildare and Down who are putting in huge efforts and resources to bridge the gap. How the Kerry Board didn't rise up in arms about it and bring it to the country's attention I'll never know.

If there was any justice in this world Kerry would be looking forward to playing likes of Wexford and Limerick next February!

I don't understand how Tyrone are ranked below Finegal after beating them in the Rackard Fianl

@ hill16no1man - I was expecting someone to bite on that. Championship is the time to deliver. Kerry will only be truly 14th if we win the Ring championship and beat the last placed qualifier county to earn McCarthy promotion.

The worst thing about the disgraceful play-offs is it's always a week after the lower tier county has won their level.
