Leagues should be up and running pretty soon.

Probably a bit early to guess how teams will look come Sigerson though. DIT cleaned up at freshers level last year and will find it hard to repeat that, the majority of the double winning team from two years ago have moved on by now too. UCD had a great freshers team a few years ago; Niall Kelly, Paul Mannion, Jack McCaffrey, Ciaran Kilkenny, Paraic Harnan and a few others who would have done well at minor level. They've lost Mannion and Kilkenny since then but should still have a team capable of doing well.

Not really sure how anybody else is looking, UUJ I'm guessing will be without a few of the lads they b(r)ought in for last year. UCC, although backboned by a lot of Kerry and Cork lads will find it hard to retain the Sigerson. Last year Maynooth had a few of the younger Kildare lads; Fergal Conway, Paul Cribbin, Paddy Brophy and Mark Donnellan, along with Eammon Wallace, Eric Lowndes and Paddy McBrearty which was a pretty good team, not sure how many of them will be there this year though.

Last year's beaten Sigerson Cup finalists UUJ will be hoping that they have the firepower to go one step further this time around, with two of the country's leading sharpshooters having joined their ranks. Donegal's Paddy McBrearty and Mayo's Cillian O'Connor have both signed up with Jordanstown for the 2014/2015 season, along with Cavan pair Killian Brady and Michael Argue.

UUJ lost a host of players following the completion of their studies in June, but will still be able to call on Monaghan netminder Rory Beggan, defenders Dean McNally, Barry Tierney, Killian Clarke and Paul Devlin, as well as Derry's Carl McKaigue. Antrim skipper Niall McKeever and Tyrone's Conan Grugan will be deployed around the middle, while up front Monaghan's Kieran Hughes, the Tyrone trio of Ronan O'Neill, Matty and Richard Donnelly and Derry's Cailean O'Boyle are also back in the sky blue and navy.
