With the U21 hurling final coming up tomorrow, a question to ask regards the football championship at the same age grade. Is the U21 Football Championship played too early? Maybe the U21 hurling championship should be played earlier in the year? There could be an argument for staging U21 finals before the Division 1 league finals in both codes. I know the dual star is possibly an influence on current timing of the championships.

The Football U21 championship is played too early in the year, now is the time to play the final and not in April. The same argument with the hurling comps Christy Ring, Nicky Rackard and Lory Meaher champs should be played the same time as Liam McCarthy cup and not in April and early May

probably better to get it out of the way early on in my opinion as some lads can get way too much football between club and county
