Glad L Keegan is free to play No malice in his action Did Diarmuid Connolly get cleared to play in All Ireland few years ago?

Fair point in fairness. Certain counties seem to get these decisions in their favour. What is done is done anwyays. Roll on the big game in the Gaelic Grounds of all places tomorrow.

Connolly pushed McGee in the chest. He went down like a sack of spuds holding his face. It was cheating. That is why Connolly's red card was rescinded.

Well spotted Bomber

Exactly and hopefully A o shea isnt systematically fouled like last week again, refs need to be tougher on this cyniscism.
My God if any of the Northern teams applied these tactics there would be uproar.
But sure some counties get away with these things ;)

As is said earlier I'm delighted Keegan got off and Connolly before but Meath's Brian Farrell must be in disbelief to how the two players got off and he didn't after he threw a little fresh air push on a Kildare player in 2011 that was absolutely nothing yet his one match ban was upheld.

Sorry I press send without finishing; so how could the cccc look at Farrell's incident and suspend him yet Connolly and keegans get off? All 3 offences were nothing serious but Farrell's was the least serious of the 3. Someone explain that to me?

I agree, id say its because Connolly and Keegan got off on technicalities.

Legendzxix,

Reference: Mark O'Shea and Darrah O'Shea getting off on offences both should have had bans on.

But some Counties get away with these things :-)

Connolly got off on a technicality because the ref didn't take his name.

Think you are wrong about Magee. Was it not the Donegal sub, Marty Boyle that was involved with Connolly. ? Check your facts. Am almost sure I'm right

The yella bellies should have finished with 8 men on the pitch last week such was the persistence of rugby tackling on A O'Shea. Amazing that the bomber can't draw the distinction between a blatant dive and attempt to cheat and get a player sent off versus a deliberate kick to break a fellas leg. Glasses needed in old age I guess

Most of the examples here are laughable.....if u want example of a real injustice....
Tadhg Kennelly deliberately/intentionally taking out Nicholas Murphy in 2009 (and then admitted it in his biography)
Donnchadha Walsh's Riverdance action's with the ref did influnce the sending off!

The Gooch got a poke in his eye in the '05 final. After the '09 incident, Jack O'Connor in fairness apologised to the Cork player. It's not the Kerry way.

Regards Walsh, he was rightly flabbergasted regards some questionable decisions that went against him. None of the Kerry lads retaliated to the kick. Walsh simply made the gesture of someone who was shocked at what he had seen. He didn't seek the red at all. Simply stepped in between Keegan and Buckley and made the kicking movement in reference of how it was inappropriate, which it was.

There was no contact made by Keegan's harmless little flick, therefore the red card had to be rescinded. Connolly's reputation at the time probably influenced his red card, nobody can deny he was a slightly character, but in fairness to the lad, the punch was soft enough.

Think all cards should be recinded for finals.

Legend
I was in Thurles long ago at a Cork/Limerick game and our then great Full Back pulled yet another high ball out of the sky and rained it back down on the Cork defence. A young Cork supporter was frustrated by this and for some inexplicable reason shouted into the pitch 'Hartigan cut out the dirt'. An elderly fellow Cork man who was in his company chided him 'Hold your tongue boy' he said 'when you are good as Pat Hartigan you don't need to play dirty'. I think the same thing has applied to a great many Kerry players over the decades. That is not to say that like every other they have not produced their fair share of 'prime boys' also.

Give me a break, ye foul and hit off the ball at times like every other county. Walsh went looking for Keegan to be booked, what about the job to foul A o Shea .
