I have to say I think he is completely wrong. Kilkenny had full round of club games last week and as far as I know will another before the final. More Dublin hurlers have been injured in training than would ever have been in club games if they were not all put on hold for months! I remember seeing Vinnies in the 70s playing league games days before Dubs games with all the county players on the pitch! hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 20/08/2014 14:35:36 1639372 Link 0 |

He actually defeats his own point as he says the same happened in 2010, the year they won the All Ireland! Cats have been doing it for decades and hasn't done them any harm. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 20/08/2014 15:00:03 1639397 Link 0 |

For an amateur sport we make it really complicated. The GAA is run like a professional organisation but yet we are still amateur and find ourselves in club v county issues and club v country issues when it comes to the Compromise Rules Series.
