Why your county can win Sam...

(Oldest Posts First)

It seems to be the norm for everyone to talk down their teams chances, it must be the only sport in the world where this is so prevalent! Im going to try and buck the trend here by talking about why you think your county can win the all ireland!

I will start by talking about kerry! Firstly we have JOD, arguably the best player in this years championship, any team will struggle to stop him! Along with him we have alot of other quality players that a lot of people seem to have forgotten about! Kerrys bench is also alot atronger this year and have players that can come on and nake a difference! Moran came on for Sheehan today and had a great performance! Also, this is only fitz's second year in charge and it seems they are more developed this year as to where he wants to get Kerry than last year! On top of all this, we are going into a semi against mayo as underdogs even though there isnt much more Kerry could have done in the championship so far!

Kerry to beat Mayo and then either Donegal or Dublin I suspect in the final!

Kerry or Mayo to be beat with some ease by Dublin. Its pointless thinkin anyone outside dubs can win. I just can't see it hope I'm wrong.

The reason why donegal can win this year is because of the unity of the team, and the focus of the players and management.

Unfortunately we're not exactly in a position to answer. It is a fair question for Mayo, Dublin Region and Donegal.

Donegal will win Sam because they know they can.
Kerry cutehoorism amd Mayo lets calm the hypeism already rules two teams out.
Only Donegal or Dublin believe they can win it

Because we're still in it:) We beat the good Cork yesterday, a quality Div 1 side and far from the shambles of the Munster final - only Donegal have faced a similar challenge so far and prevailed, though Armagh are owed some recognition here. So Dubs and Kingdom have yet to be tested. Some chances were taken with our preps this year, favoured by a better draw, so no crazy peaking in May like last year. There's a resolve there, a sort of grim determination and no ones getting carried away. We've also got Gavin Duffy, lest people forget, and a panel of players prepared to fight for the cause.. :)

My county can, and will win Sam. Won't see me play it down. At the end of the day, I will either be right, Or I will be wrong. I have confidence in my team, No disrespect to anyone else..

Donegal can win it if they beat Armagh which is no gimme. Donegal are the only side left that can beat Dublin

Dublin have:
-Croke Park for every match
-€4,000,000 sponsorship deal
-State of the art government funded training facility
-Giant resources of talent to choose from
-Massive support advantage

Donegal have:
-Jim McGuinness

No contest really and we'll get revenge for 2011

Donegal are far from the only side left that can beat Dublin. Don't flatter your team. I personally would fear Kerry and Mayo more, and in that order.

I see your Jim and raise you our Jim. No contest!!!

cant see Dublin been stopped,by any of the team s left. we can all dream , Dublin, best, forward s, goalkeeper, midfield, back s,1 team, then what Dublin have sitting on the bench, Mayo have come, lost twice, cursed, Kerry, a year too soon,Donegal, Monaghan, put it up too Dublin, but both will be blown away, Armagh, too soon, will put it up to Donegal, but just about come up short, Monaghan, will either be blown away, or just come up short, Dublin will win Sam, easy, Tyrone will come 1,2 year s, plus Kerry, to challange Dublin., i would love Donegal to do it again, but been realistic, cant see it, maybe Donegal for the All Ireland Minor, best of luck to every team left,

but to be fair, it takes more than fancy gyms and facilities to build a successful team, just look at Derry this year with their Owenbeg facility
