Cork V Waterford

Lads I cant wait for this one.
I know we beat on about the Munster Championship and we are very biased in our opinion of how great it is but it has given many a hurling man and women great excitement and few others have had more of an effect in the championship as Cork and Waterford.
Im hopin for a great game. Think Cork have a few lads comin through there who could make a their name sunday.
Waterford equally have some players I've never even heard of but they could also be household names come Sunday evening.
No point predicting a result. Just realy want this to be a match that once again brings forward the tradition that the munster championship upholds.
Let Fly!!

Just love going to Thurles for Championship Hurling, best atmosphere anywhere. On paper Cork should win but I have been on the wrong end of a few Waterford shocks too often to be complacent. Cork punched above their weight in getting to last year's Final, its hard to know if they have come on or gone back on last years form due to Division 2 hurling. Brian Murphy was by far our best man marker and his retirement leaves a huge void. Waterford have a few new debutants and are an entirely unknown entity. I think Cork will win but Waterford will not go down easily. Expect the unexpected.

Be surprised if Cork win by less than 5,possibly a 10 point hammering on the cards.

I think Cork are being a bit overlooked this year when it comes to the grand scheme of things in the championship. Which is odd for a team that beat Kilkenny last year before getting to an AI final. So, I'd expect Cork to come through on Sunday. The only thing is, Waterford are really an unknown entity this year. I wouldn't look much into the fact they were relegated from 1a this year, it could have easily been Tipp (in fact Waterford should have beaten us in the league this year). So it will be interesting viewing.

Are they expecting a big crowd on Sunday?

Id say 25,000 would be a good crowd on Sunday Marlon.

Only 3 sides open and there's still plenty of tickets left online, 25,000 is wishful thinking. Not a lot of Waterford fans making the journey apparently. Waterford don't have the forwards to beat Cork I think, they're not going to beat this team with their defenders. Cahalane is flying and if Ellis (or Cadogan) is the answer to the center back problem then we've as good a team as anyone. Would be a disaster if Cork lose on Sunday.

Yeah, 25,000 would be a very good crowd to get, probably will be under that by the sounds of it though. Hopefully we'll get a good day weather wise, and a few extra might come out.

I wouldn't write off Waterford, I really think they will push Cork all the way. If they bring their goal scoring form from challenge matches to this match I think they can win.

However, I predict a 2 point win for Cork, I think Cork will go very close to winning the all-Ireland this year.

Have a feeling Waterford could surprise. Re the fans, be lucky to get 20,000 in Thurles.

Some of the scores from Waterford have been brilliant.

It'd be game over had they not hit so many wides.

40 mins gone, Cork losing by 5, Still fancy cork
