A, B, C on the back of jerseys

(Oldest Posts First)

So the Rules Advisory Committee want A,B,C on the back of jerseys. I don't understand what the point of this is and what possible benefits would come from it. This constant rule tinkering is really frustrating. We have a good sport on our hands it doesn't need to constantly altered, it's becoming a farce.

Disagree with A,B, C. A referee and their team of officals should easily be able to take note of something like this.
Hurling and Gaelic are good sports but they do need constant alterings like all sports do. To make them better in the long run

WHY? just why? No need to do it. Do they think there's some problem with jersey numbers because i'd say they're the only one's in the country who think it

"A player shall not wear a jersey with a number over the maximum number specified. Where a replacement jersey is required for a player who is returning to the field of play following treatment for a 'Blood Injury', it shall bear his original number or be identified alphabetically - A, B,C, D, E etc."

Will washing machines become a permanent feature of dressing-rooms?

No reason, of course, is given for not allowing numbers over "the maximum specified".

A classic example of people with too much time on their hands.

If there are 26 named then surely anything from 27 up will be clearly identifiable as the replacement....

Daft. A needless expense for teams. First- no docs or physio's on the line, then no water, now players dressed like characters out of early learning video. That's what theses blazers are at when they could be tackling the more pertinent issue?

There is a lot more than silly ABC's on jerseys in that article, they could try arm bands!! namely shackling Nash and his frees/penalties.

The 21m free(Nash) motion is in there too. Looks like they weren't having enough fun trying to destroy football, gonna have a right bit of craic off ruining hurling i'd imagine.
