Both Dublin and Limerick unbeaten in the league so far, battle it out in Croker tomorrow evening, with the winner very likely to at least contest the divional final. Both teams though on full points, not very impressive so far, with Dublin barley getting over the line against Offaly and having a bit to spare against Antrim with the help of a couple of flukey enough goals, while Limerick also struggled against Antrim, and last Sunday had just three points to spare over Carlow. However expect a good battle tomorrow evening with the points going to whoever wants them more, but would expect the Dubs to come through. clonjon (Dublin) - Posts: 665 - 15/03/2013 21:53:46 1350256 Link 0 |

Hoping for a tight game. Limerick by 5 but Kearney will be a huge danger. He could win it on his own for the dubs Fishermantom (Limerick) - Posts: 569 - 16/03/2013 11:48:04 1350312 Link 0 |

dublin to win by 5 points, limerick have been far too cocky this year read in limerick post before their opener against antrim that the paper had got paddy power to do a special for all shops in limerick for limerick to win by 16+ they reckoned it was a sure bet!!! they scrapped home by 3 points. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 16/03/2013 12:11:27 1350321 Link 0 |

Limerick handy in the end. Hannon a class act, one of the top three or four in the country and Downes looked far sharper tonight. Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 16/03/2013 18:38:24 1350461 Link 0 |

Once again our inability to take our goal chances cost us badly. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13846 - 17/03/2013 12:44:55 1350798 Link 0 |

Hillman, Limerick do not really get going till championship, Munster hurling days are a completely different day than anything else in the country. Limerick will be just fine. We need two or three more players and they are coming through, Cian Lynch et al, very young side and will be challenging in the next year or two. Limerick are in pole position at the moment but this division is far from over yet. With two games left to play Limerick are on 6 points with an away game against Offaly in Tullamore next Sunday, and then Wexford in the Gaelic Grounds. Dublin on 4 points are away to Wexford next Sunday, and then home to Carlow in Parnell Pk. Wexford 4 points home to Dublin away to Limerick, and Offaly 4 points home to Limerick away to Antrim. Carlow and Antrim on 0 points are out. So it looks more likely that Limerick will qualify for the Divisional final and ita all to play for to see who joins them, hopefully it will be Dublin, but they have to go to Wexford Pk and win. clonjon (Dublin) - Posts: 665 - 18/03/2013 18:36:45 1351569 Link 0 |

Very disappointing from Dublin perspective. Had the chances to be 10/11 ahead at half time but too much messing about. Sending off was the clincher. Then the utterly bizarre decision to bring Nolan out of goal to put over a 21 yard free! What in the name of Jaysus was that all about?? Keaney was clearly lining himself up to have a go for goal and he gets them more often than not. Not optimistic about the trip to Wexford now, especially with Ryan out. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 19/03/2013 08:36:08 1351756 Link 0 |

I would imagine Nolan went all the way up the field to go for a goal but the ball flew over the bar, but even if they got a goal then i couldnt see them winning the game as Limerick were well on top by then. Another disappointing thing from Saturday evening was Dublins seeming lack of resolve following the sending off. In other games we have seen teams go down a player and then really dig in and work their socks off to make up for the player dismissed, and quite often pull off a great victory, we didnt see that last Saturday. So you would wonder have they got what it takes to go to Wexford Park on Sunday without their top scorer and take the two points off Wexford. clonjon (Dublin) - Posts: 665 - 20/03/2013 15:12:32 1352774 Link 0 |

I believe now that the game on Sunday is on in ENNISCORTHY, and not in Wexford Park as stated in my above post. clonjon (Dublin) - Posts: 665 - 20/03/2013 18:06:46 1352905 Link 0 |
