The whole evolution thing.... religion shouldn't be taught in school... have sunday school or something if parents want religion taught
Also I believe most of the new testament should be taken with a pitch of salt their just stories really.... I do think most of the morals taught by religion are good but the interpretation and the way their taught... very little relevance in the modern world, People change but religion dosen't seem to.

I agree that the New Testament is a group of stories, I thought that was the point. The stories provide moral guidance and is open to the interpretation of the reader is it not?

I never remember being told that shamrocks only grew in Ireland.

That property prices never fall.
That money DOES grow on trees.
That we were living in happy little island that was admired, revered and envied by the rest of the developed world.
That we would never know what the 80s were like.
That Fianna Fail are the guardians of everything we hold dear.
We'd all get jobs when we left school. No bother.

I agree DHorse, my point was that its a disgrace that we(western world) have become so dependant on oil that they are able to do so. Given the abundant sources of power that we have around our own shores makes it particularly galling
