Kerry look to be weaker than in previous years, but you still can't look past the usual protagonists of Kerry, Cork and Tyrone. Maybe Galway, Mayo, Dublin and a couple of others have more of a chance this year, but can't see any major shock. Tongo (UK) - Posts: 1795 - 09/02/2010 08:13:50 555886 Link 0 |

I suppose so blu. Although I think it would be fair to say that Mayo are still viewed as one of the potentials each year. I always think half the fun of the Champo is which unfancied county has a bit of a run. In recent years we've seen the likes of Sligo, Antrim, Wicklow, Kildare, Fermanagh and Wexford have decent summers, so it'll be interesting to see which county comes out of the woodwork this year, be in the provincials or through the qualifiers. Interesting view on Cork not being so keen to win Munster this year Jimbo... I suspect you might be right. The thing is, I don't think Kerry will be too interested in collecting another Munster crown either, unless they can achieve it while training to peak for later in the summer, so it mightn't be a bad year to put money on Limerick or Tipp for the football title down there... I think Cork will be able to go that bit further and win it this year. Its last chance saloon for Canty etc so they will be hungry for it. weered92 (Derry) - Posts: 296 - 09/02/2010 18:43:37 556689 Link 0 |

can only go on last years campaign and an early round of national league...but at a guess...kerry way out in front...with cork providing a challenge of sorts...watch out for the dubs who may be a dark horse...with tyrone and derry somwhere behind mayotyroneman (Tyrone) - Posts: 1821 - 09/02/2010 20:03:57 556823 Link 0 |
