dublin have a bit to do at least the core of the mayo team no what its like to be in croker on all ireland final day . Mayo seem to be going for the cork style diamond down the middle in mcgarrity parsons oshea and howley and to be fair mayo probably overall have better footballers in this area they lack the agression and physicality that the cork diamond contains i think moran is turning into a great player i see him as the play maker of this team i thaught he was superb yesterday i personally would like to see kevin mc at 10 and higginsa at half back as hes to good to be in the corner

I reckon we'd take the Mayo ladies although they don't have as nice hairstyles as the Mayo lads.

Yes without doubt at this stage, its a nailed on certainty that not alone will Dublin and Mayo contest both the National League Final and the All Ireland Final but also the National Pie Throwing Championship and one or other is bound to win the childrens face painting Championship. .

From a Derry perspective I hope it's Dublin and Mayo in the league final.

They will both be there or thereabouts at the ploughing, Athy might just tilt things the Mayo's direction

Staying in div 1 is Mayos goal for the league, tough game Sun in Omagh v Tyrone. Mayo have road games against Kerry,Derry and Cork all hard places to get points. Mayo had to win Sunday against Galway.

mayo are a more developed team than dublin at this stage. This is a team that has been building gradually over the last few years. Still no all ireland in them but i dont think we ll be a million miles away and could have a decent summer. Dublin look like they are revamping things this year which they prob needed to do. Some of their young lads looked good last wknd

Is this a joke, 1 game in and people already think Dublin/Mayo ? I seen both games and neither showed anything that would indicate they would be there...

Yeah, I've always been a big fan of Andy Moran and if O'Mahony decides to keep him on the forty with the emergence of McLoughlin at wing-back then that could very well be the most effective half-forward line in the game - Dillon, Mortimer, Moran. I don't think he's trying to replicate Counihan's diamond.

Any genuine football fan would love to see the shackles taken off Higgins in a wing-back role but this is the one big reservation that people should have about this Mayo team. O'Mahony's persisting with a full-back line of Vaughan, Cafferkey and Higgins. Meath showed the whole country just how fragile this line is and I think if they came up against a twin-towers style forward line consisting of Donaghy - Walsh or Brogan - Davoren they would be similarly destroyed.

That line will continue to be Mayo's achilles heel until O'Mahony wakes up and realises that Vaughan is a half-back and Higgins is not the tight man-marker he's mistaken him for.

Ulsterman... well bottlers we may be... but at least we're there to bottle it in the first place.

Coming from an Antrim man... hanging off the coat tails of ur Ulster brothers victories.. I find your conclusions laughable to be honest.
