According to GAA official site " Longford progress in Midlands Derby" ......

Now I know I'm biased......but surely the offical web site for the GAA could post a result correctly?!
Dread to think how confused they'll get when there are more than 2 matches played on the same day!!!

Does anyone know who updates the GAA.ie website? There is no contact page on it.

The only reason I ask is, I put some transfers into Croke park for my club and the transfers page hasn't been updated for a month - wouldn't want to play illegal players!!!!!!!

Many GAA websites are embarassingly bad. This (HS) is one of the best to be fair, though the messageboard still needs some work. But alot of club and even county board websites are very poorly run. At this stage it shouldn't be that difficult for a county board to keep a reasonably well maintained website. I'm sure every county panel has at least one IT/programmer type onboard, and between siblings of players aswell you can be certain they'd have access to some good IT support. If there's a programmer or web developer or even computer student on the panel why not offer him a few bob to keep the website up to scratch? Just a thought.

Dead right Aidan. The sites are launched amid promises of regular updates and streaming video. As well as club results you have player of the month awards, ceili information and requests that clubs please hand back those trophies from last year. After a few months when the fuss has dies down no one bothers with it and it appears frozen in time at the middle of May in 2004. Ridiculous.

On that topic. Have a look at the leitrim Gaa website. Without doubt the best run GAA website in the country. www.leitrimgaa.ie

Website is a disaster....look at the James Young story...

Laois boss Damian Fox has conceded that losing the brilliant defender would put a massive dent in his side's preparations for their Leinster SHC opener against Offaly on May 25.

"He's our top scorer, our talisman and he's been nominated for an All Star,"

Anyone that knows anything about GAA knows hes a forward and the manager even says hes top scorer yet they think hes a defender!!

For an organisation that rakes in millions every year you would think they would have a decent web site.

Clash you mentioned something, everyone talks about the GAA raking in millions and in my own county at the minute theres a few yapping on the web site about gate prices for sunday but this money goes back into communitys and parishes/Clubs. It goes into the grassroot (wait snuff) GAA volunteers to spend on resources for our youth. When a club is in need of bringing about a new facility such as a pitch the GAA are more than will to help out. The GAA web site isnt the best but it does its job with the odd typo dont we all i probably have a couple in this message they can also make other mistakes such as players positions.
