House rules: These message boards are intended to be used for Gaelic Games related discussions.

I have noticed that a tendency exists for non GAA related discussion to take place on Hogan Stand.
I am to understand that Hogan Stand has as its House rule that that the message board is intended for GAA related discussions.
What does it matter to good GAA men whether Mr Ireland on an inflated wage in the UK decides to play for a second string English team or not.
This team called Ireland is made up of players that become eligible under the Granny rule because the did not get selected for England the land of their birth.
Shall I go on ?

Soccer and rugby do relate to the GAA, you can see it everywhere. They are also the competition, it is a foolish businessman who doesn't keep an eye on the opposition.

Do you think all those kids mouthing off at refs got it from watching GAA? That's the premiership. Celebrating scores, mannerisms, dress wear, all from soccer.

From Rugby comes more willingness to accept referee decisions, weight training, upper body strength, and balance.

Did you ever hear of anyone in the 1960s or 70s talking about "upper body strength?"

sheepshooter ur some fool, john o shea is from waterford, shay given is from donegal, dunne and keane are both from tallaght, mcshane is from wicklow, doyle is from wexford, the 2 hunts are from laois and whelen is from dublin. none of those lads are playing under the granny rule and even darron gibson is a bit of a grey area.

Thanks woops, didnt want to have to point that out myself. Slash, slash, slash, oh dear....your 'facts' arent even completely correct, the Hunt brothers would just so happen to have been brought up in waterford, they happen to be pretty nifty hurlers too if I am correct? I hope for your sake your post was doused in sarcasm also. if not, well then...i think its sort of a compliment to be called a fool by someone as naive and brash as yourself.
As for the granny rule, i think this is the best generation of footballers we've had re: having only a small number of 'imports' (for the want of a better term) wearing the green? any thoughts.
