A double header in parc i caoimhe will be un fair to everyone inc Cork! fathermurphy (Wexford) - Posts: 314 - 10/07/2017 09:05:10 2013667 Link 0 |
A double header would be madness. Sensible option would be clare v tipp in limerick and wex v wat in cork but who knows. Unfortunately I think nowlan park would be too small for wex v wat. If that is the case that's just under 30k so I'm assuming tipp and clare would bring more than 15k anyway is Cork has 45k capacity. 1798man (Wexford) - Posts: 164 - 10/07/2017 09:13:07 2013676 Link 0 |
I think they will be both in cork but one on Saturday and the other on Sunday if they insist on pairc ui chaoimh getting these games. tearintom (Wexford) - Posts: 1337 - 10/07/2017 09:29:30 2013693 Link 0 |

Tipperary v Clare makes sense to be in Limerick. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 10/07/2017 10:36:05 2013792 Link 0 |
I'd be very surprised if Tipp-Clare isn't in Limerick tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 10/07/2017 11:37:33 2013857 Link 0 |
Double header in Thurles, just can't see the problem.... therealtmo (Tipperary) - Posts: 1292 - 10/07/2017 12:08:10 2013897 Link 0 |
It's just mad that yet again we don't know where these matches will be played. PuC is either ready or it's not. Killarney.87 (Tipperary) - Posts: 2513 - 10/07/2017 13:11:13 2013974 Link 0 |
They were waiting to see if cork were playing or not....and who will be playing...makes sence to me...

Defo agree its pretty neutral venue to me!!! It's not exactly Tipp's home pitch Clare play there more often than we do!!!

Makes sense up to 6 pm on Sunday evening. By this morning it should be straightforward. If PuC is ready then have it there if, if not then find other venues.

Thurles double header on the sunday would suit everyone... fathermurphy (Wexford) - Posts: 314 - 10/07/2017 14:09:12 2014071 Link 0 |
Do you want the semi final and final to be played in Thurles too so Tipp don't have to travel to any match?? :)

Any form of double header will make tickets a nightmare. Wexford and Waterford will easily bring well over 30k as we're both on a reasonable high. Make one of the minor matches as a warm up to stagger the crowds would be my suggestion. 1798man (Wexford) - Posts: 164 - 10/07/2017 14:38:37 2014111 Link 0 |
It wont suit when the supporters from four counties start looking for tickets

tipp v clare should be in limerick - put it as double header with cork v mayo football (fixed for limerick) janesboro (Limerick) - Posts: 1502 - 10/07/2017 14:53:03 2014132 Link 0 |
I agree but have a feeling the football we be used as an excuse for not bringing the hurling there. Ie give limerick a biggish game that should get a reasonable crowd to keep them happy and play hurling elsewhere.

That would only make sense Janesboro.

Pairc Ui Choaimh is down on the Hoganstand fixtures page all day for some reason for both games... tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 10/07/2017 16:01:07 2014214 Link 0 |
