I was watching TG4 today and a player was rightly sent of for a rather high neck tackle on a player in full flight. But after watching a lot of football games this year I cannot recall this amount of high tackling as in previous years. Sometimes it is just a tired lazy tackle, other times it is cynical and deliberate but I just don't get this type of tackle at all is it because a jersey pull or a pull down will result in a black card? I don't understand it but it is very widespread at Inter-county and club level.
