i think Ciaran was not up to much in the first half but when the game was in the melting pot and it looked like Roscommon would prevail Ciaran showed his class its not his fault if Roscommon tired. He is a class act and 4 points in any All Ireland isnt easy to get especially as he is still only 18 and had his leaving cert orals to think about over the last few weeks. He is a class act. Emmet was my MOTM great fielder of the ball Jack McCaffrey is another star in the making. Hudson stepped up to the plate after a poor semi final delighted for him Higgins played very well when he came on aswel.

When does Ciaran Kilkenny turn 19? Must remember Donal Smith is also just out of minor level & scored 4 points in the final. Of course Roscommon players wouldn't get the same media attention.

kilkenny also scored 4 points in the final and also got a total of 2-30 in the championship,as for smith also although there is not media attention around him this is one lad to watch out for too bags of talent naturally gifted also..

Ye in fairness smith was very good on Sunday him and George had a great battle, but obviously Kilkenny is the main man. He's a dual star who is wanted in Oz.

in fairness analyser Kilkenny is a far more exciting player than donie smith despite smith being very talented , kilkenny is also one of the top young hurlers in the country and targeted by the afl like come on

The fact Kilkenny is wanted in OZ gives him more media attention IMO Dean Rock in 2010 U-21 championship was a better all round player same goes for Alan Brogan in 2003.

Gaa lover your opinion is wrong, Kilkenny is way ahead of them two lads when they were his age.

going by the semi final and final, I would rate Compton higher than Shine for Roscommon. I though Kilkenny was excellent bar a few misses early on. Was nothing showey from him Sunday, won everything hit into him and used it well.

Kilkenny's a class act.

Smith is a class act.

That's about it.Both scored 4 pts Sunday,Kilkenny 1f 3 from play.Smith 2f 2from play.

The qeustion you must ask yourself is if Kilkenny was playin for Ros and Smith for Dublin, how would they have fared?Mmmmmmm.

How you thought Kilkenny wasnt up to much il never know. The man was outstanding on Sunday won every ball kicked into him and kicked 4 great points and set up loads. Im a massive fan of the gooch and dec o Sullivan but there time is coming to an end, it's kilkennys time now so please stop being a hater.

You do know there are more players then Dublin ones? He was poor in the first half kick 2/3 balls into the keepers hands and had a few other bad wides, came into it in the second half but was no where hear as good as your trying to make out

Can we not all just accept that King Kilkenny and the ROC and the Brogan brothers are the best players ever to step on to a football field? Jeesh

Dean Rock will never play senior championship for Dublin, Alan Brogan made his senior championship debut when he was 20, Kilkenny will make his senior debut this summer at 18. Your wrong

i honestly think if any county could pick an 18 or 19 year old to play for there county it would be Ciaran had a great minor final with Dublin last year a gereat Dublin minor club final with Castleknock aswel. He is also a fantastic hurler although i think in football he is going to be a star if he stays in Ireland his stats in the U21 Championship dont lie with regards scoring and a 18 year old not 19 until October i think. He did the business when needed in the final which is the sign of a good player
