I have nothing against hurling or dublin before somebody points that out .my point is the u21 game was due to be shown and would still of been shown if Sundays game hadn't of went to a replay .I know in terms of tv audiences the hurling game would probably draw in a bigger audience but tg4 should of stuck to what they had said they would show

tj09 cork will dispose of dublin easily...........get your money on............dublin are vastly overrated...........take kilkenny out of it and dublin are average at best.....their over reliance on the one kid will see them come a cropper against a very good all round cork team..............can't see dublin getting within 8-10 points of cork.

Can I just say no Dub has said that the U 21s will win the All Ireland, it's a very good team and besides the Wexford game have won there matches comfortable enough but after what happened to our minors last year no one is getting carried away. All I will say is Kilkenny is a class act and will play for the seniors this summer if he isn't going to Oz.

Cavan v Roscommon - Cavan having defeated Derry,Tyrone,Armagh on route to this semi final will fear no one now they are odds on to win this game & should win it by at least 3 points.

Dublin v Cork - A more difficult semi final to predict. Cork have come through a tough game v Kerry while Dublin had it all too easy so far. I fancy the Dubs to win by point.

1154513 Personally i think it's a disgrace that the u21 game between Cavan and roscommon has been pulled in favour to show a relegation playoff instead .not hard to know Dublin are playing in it.unfortunately i can't make the game because of work but if it had been the cork v dublin game on at 4pm i wonder would it of been showed .the weaker teams deserve their chance to play live on tv too

What weak teams are these? There are none left in the u-21 C'ship I tell you.

Its not aimed at Shamrock Rovers in particular but the airtricity league, I could not remember what they are calling when I last posted and only knew for sure that Shamrock Rovers were still in it! You would have to pay me a lot of money to sit down and watch that muck. Its just not my cup of tea hence it sickens me. I would much prefer to see RTE using that air time and resources to promote the u21 championship as it has produced some of the best games they should also cover the league imo, this in turn would promote the GAA and boost its popularity. I just think RTE have their priority's wrong when it comes to this and they should be tasked with doing a better job of promoting our games, lets not forget that with the Euro's and Olympics coming up it will be a tough year for the GAA in Media terms.

I know TG4 cover the league and the latter u21 games and also a good analysis show (or so i have been told) but I am not a fluent Irish speaker so its just not the same and not being able to understand the commentators takes the good out of it for me. This is not TG4 fault as in fairness they are doing well to promote the language and the games but unfortunately Irish was never hammered into me.

Frederick sorry i didn't make myself clear in my post .what i meant to say is Cavan and roscommon would be classed as weaker counties compared to the likes of dublin.I agree with you that their is no weak teams at this stage.will be a very close game in longford Saturday

I can see why people are annoyed over TG4 deciding to show the hurling rather than the football. On the other hand, they probably feel that they missed out on a much more exciting game last Sunday by showing the league semi finals. Also bear in mind that TG4's primary role is to cater for the Gaeltacht areas and Galway are involved so nothing to do with Dublin playing. They must also figure, probably correctly, that the hurling will attract a bigger audience.

It's relegation league play off IMO not important enough to be shown live.

Anyone going to dublin cork semi in portlaoise should note the main terrace in O Moore park will not be open due to work on barriers as part of safety upgrades.
Patrons will have to use the stand or the areas behind the goals for the dublin cork semi and the dub galway div 1A hurling league relegation playoff

The issue here is the total disrespect that TG4 have shown for the people of Roscommon and cavan.TG4 is primarily funded from the licence
fee.People in Roscommon and Cavan pay the licence fee just like people in Dublin and Galway.Yet, at the drop of a hat, the schedule is changed and the Roscommon v Cavan game is pulled and is replaced by a relegation playoff involving the Dublin and Galway hurlers. It's totally unacceptable for TG4 to disregard Roscommon and Cavan in this manner. Both are counties with a proud and distinguished GAA tradition.

yes but its online... so you don't even have to be in ireland to watch it (assuming that they don't have it exclusively in "the island of ireland"

sadly it is exclusively for the people of Ireland, afraid the GAA don't let the games be broadcast outside of Ireland online!

And even if tg4 or rte fwiw have the game geo-blocked. someone from outside the country can watch the game via a proxy server
