O.K. a few people on the other thread said this would be a good idea and I think so too. If you're not interested just ignore.

Anyone can play even if you know nothing about racing. The more that play the better for everyone else. Hopefully 10-15 people will play along.

How To Play
Each day, select one horse from each race and post your predictions on this thread before 1.30pm each day.

How To Score
The scoring system is complicated but fair.

Lets say you pick a horse and it wins at 2/1, then you get two points. So:

2/1 winner - 2.00 points
10/1 winner - 10.00 points
8/11 winner - 0.73 points

Also should you pick a horse and it places (first 2 for 5-7 runners, first 3 for 8-15 runners, first 4 for 16+ runners), you will be rewarded with points 1/4 of the odds.

So:

2/1 placed - 0.50 points
10/1 placed - 2.50 points
8/11 placed - 0.18 points

Also every day, you should select one NAP and if this wins, you get treble points you would per the above cases.

O.K. seven entries so far which was probably a bit more than I expected. So thats good, and hopefully a few more to come. I will post a leaderboard after each days racing. Also you do not need to say if you're selection is each way or not. Just to re-iterate, lets say you think Cousin Vinny will win the first race and he does with an industry S.P. of 2/1 you get 2.00 points. If however he places, then you get 1/4 of 2.00, i.e. 0.50 points.

Unlikely Scenarios
1. If you pick a non-runner, then your selection automatically becomes the favourite unless you say otherwise (i.e. if you notice you have picked a non-runner, then put up your new choice)

2. If there is a Rule 4, then that will be ignored and points will be rewarded as per the starting price and any Rule 4 ignored.

3. Points will be awarded for the first past the post, even if the first past the post is disqualfied.
