Ulster Football Supporters. A Question For You

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I have heard that not all Ulster football fans will be shouting for Down in the football final against Cork true or false

Who will you be shouting for ?

Probably true - no doubt a bit of jealousy from neighbouring counties (just like anywhere else). I'm hoping for a great game and Down to win.

Ill be going for down. I know some of the players and they're nice guys. I like the style they play more than corks. Howver I dislike some of their fans and Cork would be deserving winners after coming so close in recent year. So I would like to see down win but not bothered either way if its good match

Bitter Armagh fans will be hoping Cork beat us, but the true Armagh Gaels will be supporting us to bring Sam back to Ulster, just like the rest of Ulster!

Generally speaking redfoot I would support any county playing an Ulster county, but seen as it's yourselves thats in it, I may make an exception ;-)

I'm going for Down, But I dont always go for Ulster counties as when the Tyronies were playing Kerry I was going for Kerry. But I reckon my respect for Tyrone has increased a bit since 2008. Some say I've got wiser some say I've lost it. I dont know

MourneArmy _ it was a couple of Armagh men who told me that they and other Ulster football fans would be shouting for Cork

As a neutral, I hope Down will win it, I just like the way they play more than I do Cork and I like the way they've quietly made their way through the championship without all the hype and media coverage

Still, Cork haven't won the All Ireland since 1990 & Down haven't won since 1994, so it will be a great occasion for whichever of them wins

Here's hoping for a good competitive (and non-controversial) All Ireland final and good luck to both teams, do yourselves proud.

Cheering on Down without a doubt, even allowing for the smattering of Dublin supporting Down men in the QF

As much as it pains me to say it solely because of one or 2 fans, Down!

Why does that not surprise me! I suppose when your living off the past glory of one All-Ireland, jealousy builds up with neighbouring counties successes.
