A fine player alright but Declan O Sullivan is the best centre haf forward in the game omaghredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 3656 - 17/03/2010 17:18:17 590594 Link 0 |

Agree with above comment he is a good player, but not at the level of O'Sullivan in my opinion as of yet anyway dubshurling7 (Dublin) - Posts: 1017 - 17/03/2010 18:41:56 590651 Link 0 |

He should sort out whatever problems he has with the county NOW and get on with playing for the shirt. We can ill afford to lose players like hime and his talents should be seen on a bigger stage. We all know there are BIG egos, fiefdoms and powerhouses in Antrim but why cut off your nose to spite your face. All this is childish and silly. even so dublin 09 you want to see the best players in a county wearing the county jersey , no he wont turn antrim into all ireland contendors but he would certainly be a good piece of the jigsaw waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13659 - 17/03/2010 21:43:06 590879 Link 0 |

Then obviously dublin you know neither anything about Antrim or Gaelic football. Antrim needs McGourty back playing football as soon as possible if we are to go forward. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9840 - 17/03/2010 21:43:40 590881 Link 0 |

He is great footballer but unfortunatley in my opinion he is as bad as mickey harte as he has to have an opinion on everything, pity he wouldnt let his football do the talking. fiannablue (Tyrone) - Posts: 326 - 18/03/2010 10:44:09 591015 Link 0 |

So when did having an opinion become a crime? If that was a stipulation most of those playing and managing wouldn't be allowed on to a pitch. There are few shrinking violets in the GAA and many strong personalities, McGourty is no different. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9840 - 18/03/2010 14:17:21 591375 Link 0 |

kevin McGourty has opinions and as an amateur sportsman he is entitled to them. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 18/03/2010 15:38:46 591542 Link 0 |

At the same time, Patrique, if he wants to put his money where he his mouth is, he should make himself available for the county team. What's his problem? If he's that good, why doesn't he show it and boss the Tyrone backs around for us in the summer? pearsesabu (Antrim) - Posts: 663 - 18/03/2010 20:28:11 591965 Link 0 |
