anyone who thinks it is a fair playing field is mad.

Big game for Fitzmaurice you would feel, be interesting to see his approach go toe to toe with Dublin or play defensive football and try and sneak it. Hes played both styles against the Dubs.

I get the feeling most of the Kerry lads would like to see the players prevail or perish with their boots on and play open and expansive football and those long great kick passes Kerry have been historically renowned for.

Kerry will always have a chance of beating Dublin because they have footballers who can kick, pass and shoot
In previous occasions when teams have set up defensively against Dublin and been within a chance of winning, they usually blow it because they're limited in their shooting options / attacking play or simply stick rigidly to the defensive game plan when the game is there to be won. Take either of Donegal or Mayo last year as examples of that.
In Fitzmaurice's years in charge of championship games against the Dubs, bar the 2015 final, Kerry have been within a kick of the ball of beating Dublin when playing to their strengths. Even after Dublins terrific comeback in the second half last year, Kerry still picked off scores and were 3 points up with 10 minutes to go. Granted, their shooting let them down at times (Moran and Sheehan skying some stupid balls in the last few minutes) but you always gave them a chance when they were going forward as they have players who can score from distance.

heh ClondalkinDub, to be honest I dont think the record really matters.
I had never heard or known of that record previously..only in the last month or so with Dublin getting to around 30 matches.
At the end of the day Kerry will be going all out to beat Dublin but it wont be our strongest or Dublin's strongest team so win or lose neither side will be too up or down after it.
One thing though is Eamon Fitz would really want to get a win over Dublin as there has to be self doubt in his mind somewhere as he has fluffed his lines against Jim Gavin many a time.
It would be nice to beat Dublin but if we don't its not really the end of the world.

August is when football really matters.

It is the usual whinging by some Meath supporters. Meath is a rich county. How is it that Mayo, Tyrone,
Donegal and Kerry can compete with Dublin and Meath can not. Despite Meath being a bigger and
richer county than any of those four counties.

Management have cost us big the last few times we played the Dubs
who takes off their best forward when the game was in the melting pot
i dont hold out much hope we are wide open at the back and Fenton has
held the upperhand in the middle since he came into the side

didnt think Moran was that much worse than Fenton in last year's semi but i do agree Fenton is the best midfielder at the moment and prob too lively for what we have
