A lot of sounds coming out of Crokes that ROC will be back towards the end of this year.

It's not a question of will Dublin weaken, it's difficult to see happening any time soon under Gavin and with a steady stream of young talent coming through. It's a question of other counties not only getting up to Dublin's level but bettering it. It's a massive challenge but all good sportsmen and women will relish a good challenge.

Exactly well said it's up to others to raise their game not penalise the teams that raise the bar.

I think thats a brilliant post mate and really sums it up in a nutshell, i really dmire that point of view because Mayo have have gotten the closest and reeally the team that could have dominated this period aprat from the Dubs. I doth my cap sir and look forward to more brilliant days with lads this summer.

Leinster MFL: Barrowsiders claim a big scalp
11 February 2017
Last week Westmeath didn't take too kindly to my beloved lowly Carlow taking a point from them in the NFL, just wondering how the dub's feel after Carlow's minor footballer's scored a
1-09 to 0-07 win over them today, will they see it as possibly the first crack to appear in their structure, or see it that Carlow are putting in the work and are now beginning to raise their game.

As I live in Carlow most of the time with college it's nice to see them get a win against the youth of Dublin. Might just be minors and the league but its a good sign of things too come hopefully.

They will weaken like every great team but God knows how long that will take.Could be two years or ten . No signs of it yet that's for sure. Although Mayo have looked to close the gap a little. Kerry I'd presume will only get stronger with all them minor winning players to come through.

Carlows win vs Dublin was a good win as it's always good to win. But I think until people know the details it's hard to measure the win in terms of what type of teams were out playing. Was it the Dublin u17 team vs carlow minors. I know the Dublin hurlers only playing under 17 in minor hurling equalivent.

There's many a team that are psychologically beaten before they leave the dressing room or a ball is kicked and the very sight of a sky blue jersey at this time doesn't help, so heather it's u/16/17 or 18 I'll take this win hand and all.
PS. Has another crack appeared after to night's resulting draw with Tyrone.

Yes we have chosen to use an entire under 17 side in the Leinster league as the minor panel concentrate on Leinster championship preparations.

I do not think Dublin will weaken very soon- not with all them new Sabaru's being provided and a big Forester van to take their nutrition around (and bags!). I would say things are looking up!!1

I kept quiet all winter while the 4 Regions deservedly wintered well. Calling a spade a spade it has been a poor decade. The Dubs can only take on the opponents in front of them and congratulations to them on that.

As everyone knows we neglected our youth. There's no promising signs of improvement from our crowd. Mayo and Tyrone seem best placed to put up a challenge. We'll see as the year rolls on.
