Dublin have recorded victories now in hurling at under 17 and minor championships , one point that struck me about both matches , opposition at the very least even at half time , superior fitness has won both games in second half's , that wont be enough to win further down the line when we meet like for like

Just back from Laois
Cork 3-17 Dublin 1-6
Sometimes you have to call it as it is embarrassing
Just seen half time score for minors not a good weekend for young Dubs

Great win, some metal shown by the young dubs, it definitely filters down which is brilliant.

Brilliant comeback by our lads today - a great win for the Dublin minors over meath.

To overturn a 10pt half time deficit is very impressive and says a hell of a lot about their character.

Well done.

Thought your 11, I think it was 5 maybe 7 and one of your corner forwards were really excellent. Your 3 was very solid. Any Dubs there with thoughts on who played well for Meath, difficult for me to judge as I would have pre conceived opinions

Stand out players for Dublin were 7 and 11. Meath's were 11 and 14. Cracking game which looked over at half time. I suppose meath could have been complacent and weren't able to deal with Dublin in the second half. Couldn't give an opinion on whether meath should have got a penalty as it was difficult to see from where I was sitting. A bit confused about the advantage rule as meath's first goal was awarded when ref played it but he disallowed another goal when it seemed an advantage could have been played. Maybe there is something in the rule that I am missing. If they meet again I wouldn't be running to Paddy Power to back either.

Bit of a report re under 17 footballers , beaten in a close game last week v Kerry , humiliated against Cork at weekend in league final ,
have you ever stood at the side of a pitch and wondered has the wrong age group turned up , Cork under 17 were men with many over 6ft , fit and skill full , we had nippy skill full players many on the small side .
Cork hit hard ,very hard but fair.
I was reminded unfortunately of little red ridding hood , as we hoofed and we puffed but we could not blow down the Cork defence.
The pressure Cork forwards put on Dublin with intensity was unreal and very impressive , A pass back to the Dublin keeper was met with a full on swarm.
Dublin coaches have their work cut out to get these lads ready for championship.

Replying To Damothedub:  "Was at a couple of finals last week , great occasion as allways , very sporting and while fans were loud and boisterous games were played in great spirit, competion got bad press some years back but it's back on track , had to do a double take when I saw Skerries in final let alone winning it great achievement by all involved out North county Dublin .
North side certainly bossed the day no doubt southside will hit back in the hurling"
Well the Southside didn't get a sniff in the hurling feile the weekend
division 1-6 all going to northside clubs
With south side blushes spared by pats of palmerstown taking division 7.
n.a. fianna,Vincent's and fingallians taking the 1st 2nd and 3rd divisions

Celtic Challenge starts tonight , unlike last year two teams entered as opposed to three , under 17s that have not played 17s r championship or been named on a minor day panel.
Second team made up of under 16s development squad , these young guys heading into lions den tonight Nowlan Park of all places , some under 17s who are members of extended minor panel but have not played drafted into give cubs a fighting chance .
Under 17S Dublin Plunkett face Wicklow.
Fantastic opportunity for the late developer

Seen That Hill huge turn up for the books as they say , currently senior and minor squads being dominated by the Southside lads in hurling , having said that Dublin north colleges beat Southside counter parts earlier this year .
