Replying To cavanman47:  "Not sure if you're on the wind up or not but of course there's something they can do about it.

Refuse to play.

Leave the gaa with the option of one Dublin or no Dublin.

What do you think they'd choose?"
Pure nonsense. No way we will forced to split in half. Its just a silly idea that wont happen.

North win by 5 points , level at half time north had built a fairly decent lead but pegged back , last touch of the half a converted penalty by south , north in second out of traps quicker than the south as was the case in the first half , this time they did not let the south back in ,a goal by I think it was Currie ( excellent game) pretty much sealed it
Lesson for my own lad in the harsh realities of county game , played every game , dropped as young Ben MCHugh came back from injury , he justified his selection playing a pivitol role in a rock solid defensive unit , north made 4 maybe 5 subs in second half no defender withdrawn , so off to Kilkenny it is next Saturday to face Kilkenny CBS

Hilarious post whoever said sure your already doing it a juvenile splitting , I take it the poster is aware of the following Cork splits into three at juvenile , I've seen my fella play Kilkenny city and rest of Kilkenny , we also played two separate Wexford teams , splitting happens in this competition it's happened with strong counties entering more than one team . Next week we play Kilkenny CBS and still in competition is St Kieran's of Kilkenny ops Kilkenny have split ???? It's started already

Just a sore Kerry lad, a split would never happen ever. They are really hurting down in Kerry, they just can't tolerate Dublin dominating presently, it's a pity they can't take the medicine, Every reason is given apart from the glaringly obvious one that they are just not good enough.

If these new minors don't come through the way they are expecting I worry for them. They seem like a good crop, but your doing well to pull 3-4 players out of those teams and its a hell of a standard for those lads to reach considering expiernced war horses like Gooch, Donaghey and a few O Se's couldn't get there since 09.

The intersting thing for us will be the evolution this year, Con I think will see minutes, seems like Scully, Hudson, O'Gara, McCugh, Comerford and Reddin are all in with a shout of a league audition. I wouldn't ge surprised if a full back and midfilder is pulled as well.

North will be slight underdogs just as they were today , but two lads have come in recently adding much needed steel Currie and the lad who got my lads place who I believe was on the minor Leinster winning team of last year , so don't be surprised if lads do it again .
Funny sight after knocking the shi7 out of each other , coaches insist on them warming down together , had a laugh with some of the southside parents I gotten to know , in fairness gracious losers everyone seemed to be of the opinion the best team won , well I know we're I will be next Saturday , great days

Poor day at the office for Dublin North , lost in the first half , went in 13 to 5 pts down , got it back to within 3 pts in second half but a poor goal conceded undone the good work when we had Kilkenny on the rack , note on their keeper who scored some outrageous frees from his own half , nice goal taken by Lee Gannon highlight for Dubs

Onwards and upwards , off to Fermoy this weekend minor squad taking on Cork in a challenge match , only to be told last night that there are 7 challenge matches over the next seven weekends , a clash with the football development squad who are playing Carlow on Saturday , not to mention small matter of a couple decent games in HQ , I know we have a few clowns on here but does anyone know how to Clone.
In my time we have never beaten Cork at underage hopefully this Saturday will do it.

Busy times by the sounds of it.Fermoy is close to where my folks live in south Tipp.2 hours 45 should get you there.Cork seem to be gettibg their act together at underage.I believe they have been quite successful in Munster at U14,15 and 16 in recent years. They ran eventual All Ire minor winners Tipp close last year and i'd fancy them to be strong this year.

I'd be clued in as to abilities of first year minors , looking forward to seeing older lads and see how they gel , Cork believe it or not have. Bullied Dubs teams over the last couple of years at under age , so here's hoping the stones have dropped for Saturday

Cheers Realdub , under no illusions mammoth task he's only 16 ,a big baby 6ft 1 size 12 shoes hands like a Carlow farmer , fantastic experience , highest level he's ever played at is Div 3 , more proud of the fact he's made onto two squads with the obvious problems playing at a lower level brings.

Jim likes to keep cards close to his chest , we will probably see McHugh when we least expect , Id be stunned if he's not given a decent run out, Id say player himself would be seriously disappointed if it didn't happen.

He sounds like he is physically made for it!! I would imagine it been tough enough to catch the eye of selectors playing outside top two div's so must have something for them to be impressed. Its also always tough on Juveniles crossing that divide from Juvenile to Minor/adult what with so many distractions, pressures etc. So enjoy it
