Hardluck lads. I felt your fitness is what let you down but you were well able to match meath before the legs gave in. The result was irrelevant for you anyway. Beat Tipp this weekend and you stay up. Good luck. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 19/03/2019 02:46:19 2173580 Link 2 |
Congrats on staying up lads. Now a division higher then cork in football. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 24/03/2019 23:37:58 2175050 Link 2 |
A mighty result and fair play to all involved. Division 2 for a 4th year in a row is some going for a small squad, albeit with some excellent footballers. Clareman (Clare) - Posts: 1056 - 26/03/2019 09:26:11 2175475 Link 1 |

Meath vs Clare final qualifier round. It will be in Portlaoise, Tipp or Tullamore. Huge season defining match for both of us and imo a 50/50 game. Safe travels lads. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 01/07/2019 13:34:24 2203545 Link 1 |
50/50 game although Meath have had the edge on us last few years in the league but maybe they will find it hard to rise again after Dublin defeat.

not a big football fan to be honest, but it broadly seems that both clare and meath got their preferred draws this morning which is interesting. hurlingexpert (Clare) - Posts: 1941 - 01/07/2019 17:13:58 2203753 Link 0 |
Be careful of a wounded animal. That's all I say.

Exactly, think both will be happy with draw.

Well done lads you are a serious outfit. I'll be cheering for you next year in your quest to beat Kerry/Cork in Munster. Hopefully you can make the super 8's. Heads up. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 08/07/2019 13:39:45 2207819 Link 0 |
Fantastic effort yesterday and all year. From the low point and frankly shambles of 2013 in division 4 and the mother and father of all hidings at home to Laois, we have seriously bounced back and are now a proper competitive team. Colm Collins pound for pound is some manager and if they can get Sexton, Lillis etc back and Coughlan comes through, plus Meehan if he picks football, Clare will be a good team for a while yet.
