At the moment it's 2 from 4 qualify and get at least 2 more matches. The new system would be 1 from 5 which would mean after 2 weeks at least 2 of the teams will be out.

Crazy stuff so I'm hoping that it's made 2 out of 5
(Although how antrim are getting included is beyond me)

Meath are trying to get in as well so it could be 2 from 6 which will lead to a lot of dead rubber matches.

Next Years Tier 2 fixtures announced today. We have 3 home games, but 2 very tough away ones in Antrim & Laois.

Antrim v Carlow

Round 3
Carlow v Meath

Round 4
Laois v Carlow

Round 5
Carlow v Westmeath

Not a bad draw with 3 home matches and home v Kerry is a big plus.

Laois away is fine as the players are used to portlaise and Westmeath at home is much better than mullingar

So 2 toughest games up 1st. We need to have a good run at the Walsh Cup and be ready for the Westmeath game. Reckon it will be 2 of us, Kerry & Westmeath in the final.
