Off the ball is an excellent sports program, covering all sports, with a large listenership from a demographic group the GAA should be looking to engage with (relatively young, urban, open to various sports, and probably would never tune into RTE radio 1). OTB are bound to reduce their pre and post match analysis of GAA games now that they don't have live coverage. Reducing coverage of our sport from the primary sports broadcast in the country is huge mistake.
People may say that they have favourite sports, but overall that does not matter. They cover a huge range of sports, and GAA should be working to increase their presence on that program rather than potentially reducing. Even if they came in with a low ball offer, something should have been worked out.

Just watched the sky sports piece where some Mayo lads were being interviewed at a Man Utd game (God help them) and Mayo player Colm Boyle was with them, the interviewer didn't recognise him, this exactly proves why a lot of people complain about the sky sports tv deal, who are the GAA suppose to be aiming our game at when a member of the TV company staff (sky) doesn't recognise or know a big name player from our games, I bet you if a cleaner from a soccer players house turned up for a game the interviewer would know who they were

He's a soccer man and unless he has some Irish connections he's probably never heard of hurling or gaelic football. Do you think that every reporter on Sky Sports knows every sports star from all of the sports that Sky Sports cover other than their own sport?
You can be fairly sure that a GAA reporter here would be able to identify a Premier League player if he was at one of our games.

I wouldn't know Colm Boyle if he was standing in front of me, would you know Graham Reilly or Donal Keogan? I would. Jesus man that's the worst attempt at why sky shouldn't get rights I have ever heard. Honestly, could do better

A sound man, zero bullshit, but unrecognisable to me after he shaved the beard!
