GAA Poll

Its the broader issue that im interested in. The flag and anthem is a side issue. I understand the importance of National pride and respect for a countrys flag.
The funny thing here is that the strongest voices for keeping the Irish flag are from people in Northern Ireland. The real Flag issue is the Northern one. There should be a northern Irish flag that both sides up there can get behind and support. Stop trying to latch onto other countries flags.

????????????????????

You are clearly unaware that the Irish tricolour predates partition by some 73 years and was intended as a representative flag for the island.

No one in the six counties is latching onto the tricolour. It is their flag as much as it is yours.

This is almost as nonsensical stance as your previous one where you wanted to reclaim flag of a republic from the republicans that had "stolen" it.

It's amazing that you know that we would have been the only peoples anywhere on planet earth that didn't come up with administrative areas to govern their territories.

We were truly blessed.

Weren't we just. It was so good of him to take time out from giving the Welsh a kicking to visit us. Mind you, his son John is definitely the sharper tool in the shed, from Wiki:

Meanwhile, John undertook an expedition to Ireland in 1185, which was not a success. Ireland had only recently been conquered by Anglo-Norman forces, and tensions were still rife between Henry's representatives, the new settlers and the existing inhabitants.[329] John offended the local Irish rulers, failed to make allies amongst the Anglo-Norman settlers, began to lose ground militarily against the Irish, and finally returned to England within the year.[329] In 1186 Henry was about to return John to Ireland once again, when news came that Geoffrey had died in a tournament at Paris, leaving two young children; this event once again changed the balance of power between Henry and his remaining sons.[

YOU LET DOUGAL DO A FUNERAL?!
