Watched back the Cuala game last night. God, the ref was shocking fussy...some very soft frees which largely kept O'Loughlins in the game.

A word for Celbridge in the intermediate final who seemed to be very unfortunate to lose out to Carrickshock having led the whole way through the game. Good signs of things to come from Kildare hurling, hopefully.

It's good that Dublin supporters brought that in. If it's one thing hurling was missing, it was a soccer-element.

I was told the reason O'Callaghan played so little for Cuala in the championship was due to his involvement with the dublin footballers, right up until the Mayo replay, so if he didn't get much game time with Cuala it wasn't a conscious decision by the Cuala management, he just wasn't available.

Would Jim Gavin not let him double job, you know with the hurling being on an even parity with the footballers according to their secretary!!!!

What are you talking about let him play a club championship game the night before the all ireland final????
He was available for the semi final and final in dublin championship but cuala hurling management choose not to play him. He only started the game against the laois team in Leinster because one of the starters picked up an injury prior to throw in. So maybe its the Galway man managing cuala that you should look at not jim Gavin

Replying To bennybunny:  "Thanks. Didn't know that. Fair play to him and best of luck to him.

People on here waxing lyrical about Tony Kelly/Austin Gleeson (with good reason I should add) should add this guy to the list. If he can be that good against a Killkenny team after only 125 minutes of hurling?"
Yeah he was the best player on both the Dublin minor footballers and hurlers teams in 2014 that got to the all ireland semi finals. Didn't feature at any level in 2015 for football or hurling and I never found out why was asking even on Dublin page here. Then he was stand out player in the o byrne cup this year with senior footballers and was playing under 21 championship while the national league was on, but made panel for league final against Kerry. Was brought on against laois in Leinster and against Meath in Leinster so was given a bit of experience. Would envisage him making breakthrough in 2017 for senior footballers if remains fit.

If he was that fussy how did he let the incident with Gorta getting the but hurl in the side of the head go,

Same way he let Deegans butt of the hurl directly into Malone's chest go when the game was stopped and in front of his linesman. Funny that

That was a harmless incident and Comerfords over reaction made him look fairly silly in fairness

It was high I don't think he would make a reaction like that if he was not injured the full back was pulling out of him all during the game , your answer would be typical of where you come from like the Padraig Maher incident 2012.

Clare men have started with a higher tempo.Setting their stall out early. The Galwaymen are struggling with the ferocious pace.

Thomas' have been worful so far in first half.As bad a performance i've seen in quite some time.No zip.No fight. No touch. No free-taker.No chance.

What a finish! Fair play to Thomas' for coming back from such a hopeless-looking position to get within a point. How were they so bad for the first 45 minutes? Good luck to Ballyea in the final.
