It's not all about great managers, you need good players, players should take about 90% of success manager 10%. Redzer_Brown (Louth) - Posts: 153 - 07/11/2017 16:34:59 2061032 Link 0 |
Kit Henrys going to Ardee along with an o'Connell man so I was told this evening, think it is being confirmed later in the week.mckeever got the best out of the joes don't think there will be to many lads looking for that job.mckeever could work wonders with clogher he might bring a defensive structure that they need maybe they played too expansive over the years

Dreadnots have the best defensive record in Div.1 bar the Gaels thats not the problem. They dont know how to win when it really counts

wrong there Redzer about the dreadnots, they have the players alright...just someone to get them over the line Kit for Ardee?? he will certainly shake them up sharpey (Louth) - Posts: 193 - 08/11/2017 17:03:28 2061250 Link 0 |
Dreadnots had the 2nd best scoring record in the league ... just couple of points behind jocks and they played a number of matches without pepe and calif ..... with lots of scores coming from peter Kirwan, liam shevlin, pat Lynch, Dermot Campbell and Cian Mcevoy. They have always been there or there Pr there abouts in both league and championship over last number of year . However I think the jocks will be kingpins of senior over the next few years and would probably have been Senior champions this year only for the terrible tragedy they suffered .

Newtown Blues won Joe Ward in 2017 Newtown Blues beat N.Mairtin in the U21 Championship last week. They need to get ahead of Newtown Blues first, then win a championship and then win a couple more. Kingpins - come off it!!! Itsme (Louth) - Posts: 402 - 10/11/2017 10:08:55 2061539 Link 0 |
Blues barely avoided relegation from the league and had th eeasier side of the championship . Gaels would nit have been in the final had the jocks not ha sty etragedy . Beating an under 21 team in November means nothing........championship very open next year again but still sticking with jocks ! Time will tell !

Blueboy you can only beat what's in front of you. It's all ifs and buts. If my aunty had balls she would be my uncle. But I agree with you on the Jocks. They are a team on the up. It is hard to believe that they were only in a senior relegation play-off two years ago.

What tripe is this - easier side of the draw? Jocks played Gaels, Clogher & Cooley (who were relegated) Blues played Gaels, Clogher, Pats, Joe's & Kilkerly. Itsme (Louth) - Posts: 402 - 11/11/2017 13:32:17 2061720 Link 0 |
I agree that N Martin have impressed but only this year.i will judge them next year and see how they fair out. Arsed were touted 2-3 seasons to be the next best thing and were expected to kick on from their final loss only to go out in their groups. Blues have popped up with wins every few years without dominating like Pats. I realise Pats were exceptional. It's so open next year again it's brilliant. Dreads, Blues, N Martin Gaels all these teams going strong.i expect SOM to compete again. So Pats are without E OConnor I believe so that's a loss and rules them out in my opinion. Graham geraghty has been appointed as glen emmetts manager for 2018, seems very soon but a great signing for them. Louthforsam (Louth) - Posts: 87 - 14/11/2017 09:32:04 2062213 Link 0 |
Its a headline grabber alright but is Graham any use as a manager? Can be the best footballer around but achieved nothing with Duleek so i don't think he'll do much at Tullyallen.
