Replying To giverespect:  "I see Glen Emmets announced on face book last night that they have a new manager - Graham Geraghty at a handsome randsom. Yet only last week they were advertising the job with a closing date of 18th November?? Does the right hand know what the left hand is doing at that club? Serious effort by this club to go senior. Any word where K Barry going, a club looking to get success should snap him up!"
mmm...i'd say they advertised the job....and people applied....they found the right man for the job....and filled the post.....sounds like right hand and left hand hand are in sync! it's not rocket science!

i'd say these figures all grow legs with every conversation in the butchers and the bakers....the reality is that most clubs have hardworking volunteers, who'd be damned if their fundraising efforts were spent unnecessarily #pinchofsalt

Replying To sharpey:  "chachacha... Don't know where you are coming from that O Rourke and especially Quinn have improved the clubs at the highest level. Quinn spent 1 year with Seans, Marys, Blues, Gers. whats that telling you

If you look at the figures in the cul camps from 2017...Glen Emmets and St Kevins were way ahead of everyone in numbers attending..That tells me that there is some work being done in these two clubs at underage so why appoint high profile managers to put structures in place for years to come.
By all accounts Kevins have a director of football in place also to improve there underage structure. You have to be progressive, Its not all about winning straight away. both of these clubs are the last two junior champions so success is there. fair play to them on their appointments. we should be applauding them for bringing high profile men into the county and help to improve the standard within the county"
i agree, Kevins and Emmets are moving forward....trying to progress their club......i applaud them....appoint high profile managers....encourage the kids....let the old heroes create new heroes....sure what would we all be talking about if clubs didn't make changes and win matches!

Replying To willyacomeon:  "Sharpey your talking nonsense, if your telling me Gerathy is going to implement structures for the underage set up your having dreams. Hes there for first team only prob 2 years max to yes get results but to take some easy money home too."
willyacomeon. I never said Geraghty was going to do anything underage..read the posts...I said Glen Emmets are a very progressive club and have done super work underage. I also am dissappointed that Kevin barry is gone as he is an excellent manager and it is a decision that the tullyallen club will deeply regret.

Whats the current list of teams with or without managers now. Plenty of clubs be back in next 2-3 weeks doing conditioning work. Would love if a club went back the first day of the first sheelan cup fixture and see how their season went.

Sean Barry has been involved with Teams in Meath over a lot of years, was over the Meath Juniors and u21s at various times, was with Ashbourne for the past 2 years with Sean Kelly they lost senior final in 2016, Wayne McCarthy played a bit with the Dubs back in the day, living in Navan a long time, played with Simonstown, was involved with them over the years

Cheers Longroadback. Barry looks to have a certain pedigree then but again in Ardee it depends on whether the players are in the mood or not

News coming from the Quay this morning Sean Omahonys have a new manager clubman PaulMcLoughlin who was manager in 2015 when they reached senior final beaten by St Pats. Also coaching is Cathal O'Rourke who I believe was coach in 2014 when they won inter and lenister inter. That's from their facebook page. Good appointments from the point road side

Former St Fechins players David Kirwan and Andrew Collier are new joint managers of Dowdallshill for 2018.
Be great to see the Hill competitive in the JFC again. They have won it a few times before.

They reckon over on Res Dubs that he's not now going to do the Kevins job.

Anyone confirm that?
