Any predictions for tonight's U21 lads

Cooley v Fechins (Cooley for me, strong squad)
Hunterstown/Mattock/Glens v Gers (Combination team will have to much, esp with Burnsie in the team)
Brides v Kevins (Hard to call, don't know much about them)
Jocks v Blues (Going to close, but Blues to shade it)

Why all the hope for the blues. It takes a lot of work and effort for amalgamations to get up and running and isn't it great to see the better players from these clubs get playing at a top grade. While I don't really mind who wins, I don't see it as a bad thing if amalgamation wins.

Frederick....Its three Divison 2 clubs. If two of them cannot put a team together thats not good, but 3...This amalgamation stretches from Drogheda to Ardee.....Not very fair

Indeed. I just rather this than any of the clubs not getting represented and this potential good young players falling away. I don't think any of the clubs would take much satisfaction from winning it, it is for the benefit of the players.

Why would they fall away??? They play for their clubs year in year out most of them starting on the first team so this needless competition has no effect on them possibly falling away.Theyve had enough football throughout the year & all against each other too, without having to join up 3 clubs to play in this Mickey Mouse tournement.
