Fenton, Cooper, Keegan, Kilkenny, Geaney in that order.

fenton by far has been the best footballer this year, and he is so young whats ahead of him???
geaney for kerry
keegan for mayo.
like harte for tyone as well

if there was an award for least effective player it would have to be aido o s, what ever is happening in the camp is affecting his football. could have been the greatest but never got there for what ever reason. that was more a detriemnt to mayo than the goalkeeper change

Regarding AOS. Had that conversation with Mayo lads on Saturday. Why do Mayo persist with throwing him up the front or have him roaming around the forward line? Not the most mobile player out there and it is fairly obvious after 4 big games in two years, Dublin can readily deal with his threat as a forward. A great midfielder and to me it is the only position he belongs to . Mayo management need to stop with the idea that he is adaptable to various forward roles.

Fenton for me as well. He never seems to have an off day. Cooper, keegan and Kilkenny also very worthy of a mention.

Geaney would be in with a shout if Kerry had made the final but I think he'll be very pleased with an all star. Himself and JOD will make a deadly partnership if we ever get them both fit at the same time.

Watching a few games back i would nearly go with Kilkenny, but there is nothing between him and Fenton.

Kilkenny, in a single game almost plays as a half back, midfilder and half forward, while also Dublin best playmaker, his steady influence on this team and controlling the pace of the game has growen year on year, he is becoming the player we was always hyped to be and conisdering his age its frightening.

Thought I'd never say this but Johnny Cooper for POTY.
Immensely improved player and Dublin's best.

Aidan's like jaws... potentially deadly close to shore, but lost out in the deep. Your post presupposes that the big man is playing the game plan. It's in no plan that he should be taking frees and sideline balls, so you can decide from that what his overall adherence to it is likely to be. He was brilliant in creating the chance for Keegan, but that flash adds to the frustration of watching him. He also must be completely frustrated at the open season approach must defenders are allowed to take with him.

what other player in the country can mark diarmuid connolly and keep him largely quiet in most of their matchups and outscore him and do things like the goal the other day?..fenton had a good year but keegan is the best all round footballer in the country in my opinion
