Jesus on a bike indeed!
We're at saturation point with this crap. It'll be a relief when the game comes ,at least until afterwards and then the usual bullshit will be flying.

If Keegan didnt act the maggot, there would be no issue
Philly Mc acted the maggot last year and was hounded for it, Connolly the same. Whelan before them.
PaulGalvin previously, Aidan O'Mahony, half the Tyrone teams Donegal teams etc ffs
There is no special treatment for Lee, there is no "media witch hunt"
The guy acts the maggot. As i said before, Mayo are not used to their players being castigated as they have been mollycoddled by the media and rte for YEARS, then when they get the same treatment the rest of us get when one of them misbehaves, they cant cope. You have David Brady going full scale postal on the radio that anyone should have less than positive things to say.

If Lee behaves, he wont get picked on. If he wants to treated the same as say, Seamie O'Shea for instance, then behave yourself and stop ALWAYS acting the maggot.
One of the best footballers I have ever seen but Mayo need to get over there sense of victimhood here!!

I find it is just disrespectful to all the other brilliant players on the Dublin and Mayo sides. We get this in Donegal as well, the fans get obsessed with what Michael Murphy did or did not do and don't look at the overall picture. The fact that AOS or Bernard Brogan did not play well the last day probably had more bearing on the result. Can't wait for the game to start, should be a cracker.

But the gripe Mayo players have is that there is that double standard when it comes to Dublin, because Phily McMahon DIDN'T have the same level of MEDIA attention on him despite his actions last year.

People were up in arms on this forum and in pubs up and down the country, but the media brushed over it!

CM, come on man, for the WEEKS after the AI Final all we heard was "the dirty dubs".........
Dublin have literally never won an AI in my lifetime that wasnt "tarnished" by something in the eyes of the rest of the country and last september that was Philly's behaviour
Dublin players get HAMMERED for their antics and c'mere more often than not, rightly so
Mayo players always got a soft ride cos people have/had a soft spot for them. Now they are getting the treatment that Dublin, Kerry, Tyrone and Donegal have gotten and they dont like them apples

Not sure what age you are Liam, but there's controversial moments in most big games and if you look for an angle to justify why a team was lucky or why a win was tarnished, you won't have to look far. Note: These are what i saw from other supporters on this forum alone:

15 - Donaghy could have had a peno
14 - Keeper slipped, Mayo were robbed in Limerick
13 - Timekeeping issue, Mayo told they had time
12 - I don't think there can be any argument made here. Donegal were a mile ahead of everyone in 2012.
11 - Kev Mac took 11 steps
10 - "soft" final - "Down were poor finalists"
09 - Kinnelly took Murphy out of it
08 - finger in Gooch's eye
07 - No argument as far as i can remember
06 - "soft" all-ireland
05 - all Tyrone players got off on appeals
04 - "soft" all ireland
03 - Marsden red card, puke football
I only started on hoganstand in 02

. . . .and so on and so on . . . obviously as a Dub you had the Canavan "pick-up" and Redmond incident in 95.
Not sure if you were around in 83 - I wasn't around myself.
