You keep saying how big gaa is in dublin which as a gaa fan I would say is great ladies football and the men under 21 teams are part of that. There has been woeful support for the under 21 team in all Ireland finals hopefully the women get better.

For the community shield man utd and Leicester would have got the same amount of tickets even though Leicester would have a fraction of the support of man utd. I am sure alot of the tickets for a fa cup final would go to various clubs and organizations

Yep it's a valid point. But here's the thing, not only does our friend trump, or I mean hill want that which may be valid, I don't agree but may be valid. He also believes Mayo should not have access to as many hill 16 tickets because (1) they don't have a terrace in mc hale park, their home ground and (2) the dubs have been using the hill all year where other counties haven't. Do you agree with that? Read over the the thread, not only should non competing counties not get tickets, Mayo fans shouldn't be entitled to terrace tickets for the reasons set out above. I asked previously should a county reach a final with terraces on their home ground should they be entitled to terrace tickets for the final? I've been to loads of games in Parnell park where there hasn't been a huge clamour for terrace tickets for some reason. I also pointed out croke park is the national stadium, Dublin already have the good fortune to be gifted that every day they want to play, just because they have the food fortune of that gift why is there a sense of enritlement to that on the biggest day of the year? That's the issue with this thread, there is validity to your claim that the final replay should be for competing counties only divided equally by 2 but it seems that's not enough for some, Dublin should also have access to more terrace tickets than Mayo because of a sense of entitlement. So not enough to get the national stadium on loan to play their games they should also have access to the vast majority if not all the cheaper tickets come final day. In fairness most Dublin fans have completely disagreed with this notion of entitlement though which is good to see. tearintom (Wexford) - Posts: 1341 - 24/09/2016 09:08:02 1918610 Link 0 |

You run the hill16 army twitter account? Had serious craic with that the morning after we beat Westmeath last year. I was a bit worse for wear after a heavy night celebrating getting to the qf. You're a good sport and good craic, I enjoy the account quite a bit.

Count yourself lucky! Don't follow either the Facebook or Twitter page but have a number of friends retweeting their guff so it shows up on my feed.

A wee bit over the top, very expressive and straight to the point - which they are entitled to make and express in anyway they like. I still can't understand why people will go out of their way to track the likes of this down and then take offence at it - in a very pre-meditated way. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4897 - 05/11/2016 16:52:15 1931886 Link 1 |
Track it down? It showed up on my news feed because a friend shred it, there was no tracking done.
