Deegan is a poor ref. He tends to be influenced by the media.

Shot in the dark here but did they possibly win all the games he reffed because, oh I don't know, maybe they were the best team? I know, I know. Wild, crazy suggestion but a possibility, right?

So a good chance he'll favour Mayo then. We all know the media would love to see them win. Break the curse, so many decades since an All Ireland, photos ops with Edna etc etc.

You're joking right - McQuillan would be a better choice????

This the ref that awarded 37 frees to 12 in favour of Mayo in the 2013 final, who had McCarthy black-carded last Sunday, had MDM, Bastick, Small and Connolly removed from the game vs 1 player for Mayo last year, who awarded a penalty to Mayo for a dive into a throng of Dublin players in last years drawn match and awarded a penalty to Mayo for a nothing touch in the back of AOS against Fermanagh earlier this year.

No thanks. Enough of that.

A ref from either Ulster or Munster should have got the replay.
I don't think Deegan will favour us or anything like it but the ref should come from a neutral province.

Agree, ref should be from a neutral province although if he came down from heaven he wouldn't please everybody. It might be a difficult game to handle because of its importance and also because a few grudges may have developed over the last few games between them. Assistant refs on the line tending to play a bigger role now and it's not always an improvement

A Leinster ref doing the All Ireland Final with a Leinster team involved, that isn't neutral, what would people say if Marty Duffy from Sligo was ref of an All Ireland Final involving a Connacht team, there would be uproar in the media but with the national? media based within the Pale it's alright when the GAA appears to favour the Jackeens after all they pumped millions into the capital while Wicklow, Carlow, Louth, Meath, Kildare etc received very little money and not 1 word was said by the media or the public as to this favouritism, so may I congratulate Dublin on your forthcoming victory on Saturday week

Horsesh*t, as far as Leinster is concerned. provinces mean feck all, if anything, a ref from anywhere in Leinster outside Dublin would have no love for us whatsoever, let me make that very clear.

So if the counties in Leinster are so downtrodden by Dublin then why is having a Leinster referee an advantage to Dublin?

Binmam his last big Dublin game was '10 semi final v Cork , Cork only got one point from play in the second half the rest were frees n peno, if you think a Laois man favours Dublin cause it's in Leinster then you's haven't a clue. Leinster counties out of all the provinces have very little love for each other, I know I was up for Tipp the last day, Leinster counties mean nothing to me, I've no more love for Carlow as I do for Clare, and I think most Leinster people are the same.

Reading this is like watching kids slag each other in the school yard about decisions in their favourite teams soccer matches, childish stuff I assume yer all grown men.
Maurice Deegan will go out with the intention to do the best job possible and all ur bull about favouring one team over another. These are the top refs in the country with 100's of cameras on them so saying he is biased one way or another is ridiculous grow up. hope its a cracking game predict the dubs to win by 6

I hope you are right but a top ref was in charge in Limerick in 2014 and look what happened, we should have won regardless of the ref but he made a few massive blunders, not to worry both sets of supporters won't be long telling them (officals) if they make a mistake or not

A top ref in Limerick in 2014? Nope.
