Replying To trim1:  "Maybe I'm off the wall I think Jim Gavin was more than happy with the draw. If they had won yesterday he would have known it was not deserved & celebrations etc would have been muted, He pretty much said that afterwards & he's a straight up guy. You could see after Mayo equalised that the Dubs were not interested in pushing for a winner.

Dublin have a chance to win the All Ireland playing football the way we know they can. If they dont turn up the next day then I am sure he will have no complaints."
That's mental talk. At the end of the day an All Ireland is all that matters. It doesn't matter a hoot how you do it. I'm sure Jim Gavin and every player would have wanted the win there if they could.

2013, 2015 were hardly marquee displays, they were still heavily celebrated. Rightly so. Every All Ireland is a great achievement.

I get why he went for it he's capable of doing it, the only thing wrong is that he as a more senior player forced Kilkenny who wanted to take it to give him the ball. Kilkenny had the ball and wanted to take it Connolly should have walked away and not physically removed it from his teammate
