The future is Kerry!

I'd have Donegal in there over Tipperary. They did well this year and have had some underage success but football is still their second sport down there. That isn't going to change any time soon.

Cork if they get their act together at board level will be back.

Galway have a decent young team and a great tradition, hopefully they can keep on an upward curve.

That's a load of balls about this decade.

It's just to take credit away from Dublin.

They'd have won a tonne of titles in any decade.

You'll point to Kerry having a great Tyrone team to butt heads with.

I'd say Dublin had a very good Mayo team to do battle with a consistently solid yet traditionally but weaker challenge from Kerry and a couple of good years from a McGuinness led Donegal.

Those teams don't have the silverware that Tyrone came away with, but I'd say that's because this Dublin team are just so good and didn't let any of them come away with much silverware.

I'm a complete neutral but sported the odd Kerry top back in the day and loved that great team.

Some of my fellow countymen would agree with you. Many of my fellow countymen got a bit carried away with the '14 success thinking it was going to lead to more in the next year or two. '14 was the last kick really of some great players with the aid of some young guns who had come through. '14 was an All-Ireland against the curve. There's still expectation though. Many see saw that this year.

I know that underage success doesnt guarantee senior success, but in Kerry I think it mat be a bit different. Those young lads will know that until they win a senior all ireland they wont be considered the real deal in Kerry, whereas in a county like limerick, or my own, fellas win all irelands at underage level and its almost as if its mission accomplished.
i had never heard of the Gooch until he burst onto the senior scene in 2002, contrast this with Joe canning who was arguably galway hurlings biggest name before he even made it onto the senior panel.
Id expect big things from this young group from kerry (if they can keep them in ireland anyway).
