The Dublin pundits sure have blinkers on. Also the suggestion is out there that Mayo only drew because of rain, bully boy tactics etc....

So Dermo was bullied cause Keegan ripped his jersey ? If I'd Dermo's body id want my jersey ripped every game to show the women the gun show. Seriously Mayo were better and that's it no bleeding bullying at all."
Haha sounds like u missed out on your dream job as a Chippendale!Clondalkindub, the hot fireman with the big hose cooling down his overheating female fans .What an image of a mundane Tuesday afternoon!

Llaw_Gyffes - I acknowledge you are a very witty poster. It is a pity that Connolly who is probably the most natural footballer in the country at present is not allowed play football on the biggest occasion of the year for Gaelic Football. To see D.Connolly with a rag of Jersey on the field of play is portraying a bad image of the game. The amount of "off the ball activity" by Lee Keegan who is a good footballer is disappointing and an early yellow card for him would put an end to this unedifying activity. It is obvious that a top class forward does not want to spend the afternoon in "off the ball activity" but instead wants to display his natural skills.

I dunno Connolly made his bed in the past so can't complain now but these days he is certainly more sinned against.

As far as i recall Connolly tested the fabric of Keegans jersey with a two handed ripping motion from under Keegans neck area.Maybe Diarmuid hadn't had his prematch spinach or Mayo's jersey is made of Sheffield steel, but Keegan seemed to be able to rip Connollys jersey with one hand as easily as Hulk Hogan in his heyday.

I'm sick of hearing about these two lads and their off the ball shenanigans.Their both as bad as each other. No way i'm having Connolly as the victim.Their is a pair of them at it.The amount of playing the victim here is pathetic. It takes two to tango and by god do they.

Fair enough but do you honestly believe that big Aido is allowed the freedom to express himself. This constant harping on about Lee Keegan as if he is the only footballer out there who goes out to stop a forward from playing, is getting tiresome. Do you honestly believe that Mayo forwards the next day will not have to put up with the same close marking as Connolly. Can you imagine if Aido reacted to the jersey pulls and digs in the ribs and punched Philly in the face as Connolly is apt to do, the outrage it would cause. There was a picture on Hoganstand earlier in the week of Keegan with his hands out and Diarmuid with a hold of his jersey. I didn't see anyone on here suggesting that Lee should have hit him a few slaps. There seems to be a little propaganda campaign going on at the moment, spearheaded by ex Dublin players, which is bordering on the ridiculous at this stage. I'm expecting a 'free the Dublin one' headline one of these days.

Good balanced post. I think they cancel each other out. If both were sent of would it make any difference to the game bar creating more space?

I've never heard as much codswollop about a Dublin player being bullied in all my times watching the game.

Keegan won the dual with Connolly, just like most Mayo players won there individual battle. This Mayo team need a bit of luck, but they have this Dublin team imo. I am expecting Sam to head West on Sunday morning.

I agree both of them at it but both teams are as bad as each other. As I've said before for Dublin or Mayo posters to point out what the other team have done when their team has done the exact same is just hypercritical.

I think the issue here is former Dublin players pushing an agenda. Nothing to do with posters on this site.
Maybe Mayo pundits could argue the case for O'Se being targeted but sure we all know they won't.

I am fed up of the build up at this stage. Just want to get the ball thrown in.

Very confident here, I don't subscribe to the fact that Mayo left it behind them last game, at no point during the game did I feel Mayo were going to win it, you actually have to outscore the opposition to win a game and it never happened for Mayo. I'm interested to see Mayo so confident, of course there is always a chance but really for poor game management from Dublin in the final stages we would be wintering well already. You have to outscore the opposition to win.

Of course you have to admire the effort and resilence of the Mayo come back, they were determined no go down as flakey or bottlers again. But they chased the game all day, does it not feel like Mayo won a draw or didn't loose trophy? what will change next time? I'm not sure the pont has another trick, if you go for the throat Dublin will exploit the space. If you stick to the same rigid defensive formation, you can bet any money Gavin has drilled on pulling it apart for a fortnight.

I don't think Mayo are going in under the radar anymore and the hype I see is ramped up again, hopefully all have a good and gracious day out to whoever wins.

The only thing that concerns me is if Dublin get involved in the brawl again, hope they impose their own game and be at their assassin best rather then the lunatic soup stuff. The whole context reminds me of the two games last year, hopefully Dublin relearn the same lessons :).

He was doing a fair bit of targetting himself coming out of the tunnel yew_tree. But yeah you're right, the build up is getting tired at this stage. Let's get down to some ball.

Spot on. The level of catty vehemence circulating from both camps is getting to the point of Hysteria.

Roll on the Game. I'd say Dermo and Lee are having a silent chuckle at it all. That's if they even bother reading any of this tripe.

There is no hype. And we have every reason to be hopeful, this isn't some bunch of lads who were lucky to get to the final. These are the 2 best teams in the country.

Some serious signs of lads losing there marbles all over the country today.Pre-match tension or has the Zika virus landed on our shores?I'll have a wee peek before deciding if its safe enough to drop in tomorrow. The sooner this bloody ball is thrown in the better for all i feel.

to be honest jaden i havent heard anything coming out of either camp, it just seem's to be ex dublin player's coming out trying to influence the referee by saying connolly is being targeted by lee keegan in each game, let's face it lee is no better or no worse than philly or cooper or any other defender that play's on the edge
