They gave us good matches, despite their fans lack of faith.

Interesting. Mayo drifting out to 10/3 with Paddy Power..meanwhile the vast majority of HS posters believe Mayo will win! Croighorm is right. Most people vote for who they want to win not who they think will win.

this match will have one of 2 outcomes:
An easy 7 or 8 point win for Dublin. In other words a Mayo "collapse".
Or a 1 point win for Mayo. Maybe even a draw again. In other words Dubs will hit a lot of wides.
I hope Mayo win by a point, but it could just as easy be a thrashing by Dublin.

or do most people bet on who they want to win, hence Dublin, with it's significantly larger population, is at short odds.

I know many many soccer fans who will NEVER bet against their own team.

I sense a distinctly underwhelming feeling and atmosphere about this game. Most people believe it is a foregone conclusion and I even think some Dubs are a bit less worked up about it too. There is virtually NO interest with most Gaels I know in Antrim and many who would never have missed their annual pilgrimage to Croke Park for the All Ireland have opted out. The fixation with, and annual coronation of, Dublin has become boring for a lot of people and that's a fact even if the GAA and media don't want to hear it.

Haha..you must be kidding. There has never been so much demand for tickets. I work with a chap from Ballycastle and he would crawl over glass to get tickets....Apparently everybody wants to witness the coronation of this great team...

Dublin's ascendancy is boring? I disagree. They are better. Fitter. More determined. If they were a bit more focused they would have done even better. From now on though, the pack will get closer. Let's hope that makes for more exciting matches. We could all do with that!

Finals are usually anti-climactic. Jittery nerves. More conservative. Too much tension. I hope this one is an exception. If Mayo can keep Dublin guessing and defending then that will be half the battle. If they use AOS astutely and find their range from distance then they might well be in with a shout. I certainly hope so- if only to see Just how good this Dublin team is

Yeah clondalkin think its the team that will take the field.

Doherty would be the only player under threat but i think rochford will stick with him.

Dont expect any changes for the dubs either

Yeah, I think that's the most likely 15.

Doherty may make way for Barry Moran or Evan Regan, but can't see any other changes.

Hard to know what team will start, with all of these mind games anything is possible. Rumours of one or two injuries but hopefully they're only rumours. Time will tell!

I reckon Mayo will start with Moran and Aidan O'Shea inside...Doherty to make way.
