The 2011 final, Kerry were hard done by, yes. But not by the last free - it was a clear free. Plain as day.


You could call the 2013 final a dubious free with the ref telling Mayo they had time to take their point then blowing the whistle straight after the restart.

To be fair in 2013 COC should have just tapped that one over the bar instead of wasting a minute going through the routine when you that close you shouldn't need to do all that just tap it over the bar and between the posts

While were hovering around the subject, does anyone remember the dying seconds of the 2005 final when the Gooch was running up towards the goal and was rugby tackled off the ball by the noble warrior Peter Canavan?

As for the topic at hand, you dont win three all irelands in 5 seasons (possibly 4 in 6 come Septembers end) without being the best team in the land.
