The decision to stop players from a senior squad playing U-20 while eligible is a joke really. To me it suits one or two sides in particular, one especially. It is the same with the senior championship restructuring proposals out there. Yes change is needed and welcome but its the provincial structure that needs it.

Well maybe if you got up off you're arse and watched Galway play you might have thought otherwise. Galway were the better team on the day got their tactics spot on and nullified Donegal's main threats. Donegal were nervy especially after that first sloppy goal conceded and did not perform to anywhere near their potential. Yes I went and watched a few games and tried get the opinion of others but like pointed out it is not an exact science. Yet for should have won by 10 points theory Donegal were within a whisker of getting a undeserved draw at the end. Be gracious in victory as well as defeat just like the Galway players were yesterday after they won. I hope Galway go and win it now despite.

You got completely carried away with the Donegal minors. Galway may have got plenty of players back and defended in numbers but when they did attack they did so with pace and purpose; On so many occasions Galway weren't afraid to kick a long ball into the forward line. On the day there was a huge gap in class between the sides and a 4 point victory wasn't a fair reflection of the game. It wasn't a case of Donegal not taking their chances and been unlucky it was a case that Galway missed countless opportunity's to score more goals. Anyway on to the final where I predict they'll meet Kerry who would probably be hot favourites. TheWestIsAwake (UK) - Posts: 529 - 23/08/2016 13:25:38 1904850 Link 1 |
