All those tuppences back now (with a good deal of interest), Missus. You shouldn't have been so arrogant.

Panned out as I had thought and hoped! We had a team that was purpose-built to beat Kilkenny. Always felt we had their measure. And I don't buy the argument it's a poor Kilkenny team!

All great teams come come to an end, well done Tipp I've a feeling this is only the start for them. Kilkenny the greatest team I've every seen but as I said all great teams come to an end. Some of the players they have are nowhere near the standard of old Kilkenny teams.

Congrats to Tipp no disputing what a fine win this is, Kilkenny were a mess, poor touch, poor decisions, poor defense a really awful day for them. So yeah Tipp well done, what it means long term? who knows or cares for now, enjoy.

Kilkenny were exceptionally poor throughout this game for three Tipp forwards to get something like 2-12 between them mostly from play really sums up how one-sided this game was. A poor day on the field of hurling means a comprehensive defeat.

But Tipp were hungry, pacey and first to every ball and for me Callanan is a beast!! Well done

True it is always sad to see an era close but both Tipp and Kilkenny are hurling powerhouses they will be back. But somehow you feel this is the end.

Delighted for Tipp.
Alot of them fellas carried some demons into todays final and were under pressure to exorcise them, and they did it in style.
Especially happy for Mick Ryan who comes across as a good guy.
The heartache they suffered over the last 5 years will drive them on to achieve alot more in the next few years i think.

True All Ireland Champs!

Marvellous campaign from Tipp

Hammered the 2nd best in Munster and had to go through both Galway and Kilkenny to win

They beat all the best teams on their way

Great achievement

If there's 1 person I shouldn't criticise its Brian Cody but how Kilkenny didn't make any changes in the full bank line is baffling,in fairness to Paul Murphy he's been the best corner back in Ireland for the last 5 years but all 3 in their fb line got roasted, also strange not to bring in John Joe Farrell and john power when they needed goals in the last 20 mins. Tipp's ff line got 2-15 from play which is staggering

It wasnt the best game ever played, as Tipp were much much better than them, but it was great action for the most part, and it certainly felt like it was non stop.
Thanks for your statistics all the same.

Felt that Holden looked very nervous before the game (easy to be wise with hindsight I know), and yeah, Murphy is a real warrior, but O dwyer really bested him today.
2-15 from play is crazy stuff.

Tipp saved hurling this year. I don't think I could have handled the Killkenny domination continuing.

Please God they don't win leinster or the all Ireland next year. PLEASE!!

We could just take Kilkenny out of Leinster for 2017. Put them in Munster next year, and then in 2018 put them in Leinster again and have it on a rotation basis every year ?
