Tipp v Galway

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Poor use of subs by Galway sideline yet again. Why oh why oh why oh why do Galway make so many substitutions? Especially in the last 10 minutes. The time to make subs is half time or midway through the half. Subbing is a tactic used by some Managers to waste time, not win matches! Galway should not do it especially if they are behind or losing.

Feel genuinely sorry for Galway. They have all the ability and talent to win an All Ireland but don't seem to have the street wise kudos to get over the line. You get the impression that the inner core belief is missing a bit like Mayo in the football although this year I think Mayo are a different kettle of fish; they seem to have toughened up physically AND mentally.

Replying To WildPundit:  "Did he also send off Henry Shefflin against Cork in 2013?"
Did P Maher not barge into Brian Hogan he held his ground, Henrys card was resinded against Cork 2013

Why did Maher have to get treated for a facial injury after it if it was shoulder to shoulder, was it not a push in the back when he finally had to go off.

Just after Tipp got their second goal Cathal Mannion got the ball with a handy point on, yet he took it into contact & ended up being penalised for overcarrying. That was a terrible blunder which ultimately cost Galway.

"Sheflin deserved to walk that day for late clumsy tackles" So why was his red card rescinded on appeal?"
That if I gave too many examples some Kilkenny poster would come charging in with the size 9s and ruin the sentiment of my comment by looking through rose tinted glasses. So thanks for ruining my comment and its intended objectivity.

I felt Galway were slightly better than Tipp for most of the game.
Losing JC & Tuohy ( very impressed by him by the way) were big blows.
I believe JC's class would have told at some stage in the 2nd half,
Best of luck to Tipp in the final.

Already explained it in an earlier post. It was shoulder to shoulder, not one of the "experts" are saying it wasn't a shoulder to shoulder, Sunday game last night described it as a bone crunching shoulder to shoulder. So who is saying it wasn't ? You.
