No mention of "Vinny's Gonna Get You", 2001 All Ireland quarter first game, what an impact
Brewster 04, was unbelievable too
I always thought Jody Devine for Meath had his moments coming off the bench too

Jason O'Reilly for Cavan (retired a while now), also Mike Frank Russell was a bit of a Solskjaer and looked like him too.

Both players from '97 when we were in our last All Ireland semi #starvedofsuccess

I can't believe I'm agreeing with you either clondalkin but you 100% right, bjk is a decent club player but I wouldn't say he's one of the top ten forwards in Kerry.
Like someone else mentioned he's a great man to come on and score when the game is over.
Also have to agree with hermit there are better U21 forwards that should be given the chance.

Kevin McManamon is great off the bench, I will never forgive him for the damage he did to us a couple of times from that position. If Kerry meet the Dubs at the end of August I hope he is starting the game, guaranteed he will do SFA.

BJK looks fantastic coming off the bench against a tired Clare or Tipp team who have already given up but the management clearly don't rate him as a starter. As somebody else already said there are absolutely cracking younger players in Kerry that should be getting some championship experience at this stage rather than BJK.

Maurice Fitz and Peter Canavan were very effective off the bench in the 00's for Kerry and Tyrone.

KEVIN McMANAMON - Best sub by some distance in term of impact, strong, direct and intelligent. He is always capable of getting key scores

CHRISTY TOYE - A brave warrior, leads by example by breaking a tackle and usually registers a point or two

B J KEANE - Oppurtunistic forward, usually introduced when his team is leading and helps himself to 2-3 points in the last quarter. Lost some respect when he ran some distance to sneakily kick the ball off the kicking tee over the end line in the closing minutes of the 2014 AI final. Got yellow carded for delaying a crestfallen Paul Durkan kicking the ball out after he had gifted the game to Kerry (even my Kerry cousins weren't impressed by that).

Mc's 2011 impact was incredible, pulled a semifinal from the fire and then pulled the final from the fire,

should have been POTY

You should put in the proviso outside of Dublin as they would have the best 10-15 substitute players in Ireland.

They'd be starters for any other team

BJK would be starter in any other county. His father will be next kerry manager. Might get a look in then

100% agree with post on BJK.

Was at game and Kerry supporters beside us were not impressed.

Huge respect for KMcM. Must grate on him at times that he doesn't make starting team. Never lets it effect him, but most importantly never lets it effect the team.

Probably Gavin's biggest attribute is his man management skills in such situations.

Yes consistently honest, lets look at what Liam said and I agree totally. So which Kerry sub would get in the Dublin bench.

In fact, how many Kerry players would make the Dublin XV and panel? No more than 3 or 4 on the panel which highlights the size of the enormous task we face on Aug 28
