Clones' capacity is only about 33'000. You'd be denying a lot of fans the opportunity to watch the game.

Why not get these 40,000 paying into Clones? Might even make money as would mean more Mayo Tyrone fans could get into Croker.

It would certainly make it fairer. Dublin have enough advantages with playing numbers, funding and logistics. As Rory said many Donegal players will be taking half days on Friday. I reckon in Croke Park we have about 20% chance of beating the Dubs, in Clones or Breffni I reckon that goes up to 40% and if we got to play at home in Ballybofey as they do I reckon 60%. I'm sure other Counties would love a crack at the Dubs when they dont have home advantage also. I know they went to Portlaois this year but I'm talking about Counties like Kerry, Cork, Tyrone etc at the business end of the championship."
Not at all..croker will be buzzing next saturday 2 big games and a certain full house..forget about all this big advantage dublin in croker belloni..sure didnt donegal beat us there in 2014..look at it this way all the fans will stay on from the first game and will all be cheering for donegal ..croke park is the place for these big double headers..neutral venue me arse..

The Dublin/Donegal game in 2014 had 81,500 in attendance. Not a chance this game should be played anywhere but Croker unless you (and Gallagher) want the best part of 40k supporters disappointed.

Heard chat it is a triple bill for Croker that day, so the teams might have less than 40,000 tickets collectively anyways. So maybe outside of Croke Park might be viable.

Yeah wish he would concentrate on trying to play the Dubs instead of this rubbish, only good thing is if we do get beat we might get rid of RG then.

But you would be making a lot of Donegal fans happy.

Is it about the fans or fair play, or money. Everybody knows that a home venue is worth a few points

Why is this a triple header - no need to have kerry there - this could free up tickets, tickets will be issued to Kerry, even though they wont really travel

but Dublin have played in a stand alone q-f fixture before

Nonsense by Gallagher. Croker is the only venue for this clash. Now if he had said to play it on a different day to the Tyrone-Mayo clash it would have made more sense.

With Mayo v Tyrone on the card, there's gonna be people missing out.

Sadly this is probaby an attempt at mind games by RG. Donegal have played so many times at Croke Park by now I don't think it makes any difference. The only real difference is that it is a long way to travel for the Donegal fans, same for Mayo and Tyrone. However I do expect a large turnout of Donegal fans for this game. It is going to have no bearing on the outcome.

The game will be played in croke park. No doubt. Tickets already sold n all.

My big gripe is the amount of people saying x amount of people will be disappointed. Like its some sort of reason to have it in croke park.

To the people who would/will ultimately be disappointed in their search for tickets.. i say hard luck... but tough. Thats life. Its the rule of supply and demand. Sometimes the demand will far outweigh the supply. As is the case now

For many years now there have been season tickets. They dont cost a huge amount of money and assure you of tickets when scenarios lile this come about.

If you dont have one.. you run the risk of missing out when the big games come around.

Every big sporting event on the planet will have more demand than supply and people will be let down. Thats just the way it is. If dublin v donegal was a stand alone fixture the demand wpuld still be more than the supply.

You cant get blood out of a stone.. you cant fot more people into a stadium than its capacity allows for.

Bottom line.
